Exploration Of The Interesting Expression Of Cultural Elements In Shui Scripts

Shui Scripts is the general name of Shui ethnic group’s language and book.Shui Scripts is a great achievement of the Shui ethnic group ancestors’ understanding of nature,society and the pursuit of civilization.It is the representative of the advanced culture under the historical conditions at that time and the symbol of the cultural history of Shui ethnic group’s society.In 2006,the custom of Shui Scripts was included in the first batch of China’s intangible cultural heritage protection list.The interesting elements of this graduation creation ‘all things have spirit’ series of graphical works were obtained on the appearance of Shui Scripts’ s words,the definition of folk activities and the religious ideas.I made use of modern painting techniques to design interesting patterns and applied them into wax painting to present the folk custom activity scene of Shui ethnic group’s religious belief-‘all things have spirit’.While deeply exploring the cultural significance of Shui Scripts,this paper explored the interesting expression of cultural elements of Shui Scripts,and gave a new interesting visual language for Shui Scripts to make a creative work of Shui Scripts culture which is conformed to the current social culture and which is easier to be accepted by the public to realize the innovative development of Shui ethnic group’s traditional culture,expand the audience of Shui ethnic group’s culture,make Shui ethnic group’s traditional culture be inherited and promoted in a diversified way,carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and stimulate the deep vitality of intangible cultural heritage projects.
