Research On The Inheritance Of Ancient Songs In Xijiang The Miao

Xijiang Miao ancient song is an oral epic created by Xijiang Miao ancestors in the process of long-term production and life practice.It covers Miao myth,religious belief,migration path,social system,customs and so on.It is the classical culture of Xijiang Miao culture.On June,20,2005,Xijiang Miao ancient song was listed in the first batch of national—level intangible cultural heritage list.As a national intangible cultural heritage,Xijiang Miao ancient songs contain rich historical,cultural,aesthetic and other intangible cultural value,which is an indispensable part of Miao traditional culture.However,in the background of economic integration and the vigorously advocating the integration of culture and tourism,Although Xijiang Miao village,as one of the many successful examples of the development of ethnic cultural tourism,has achieved rapid economic development,the music culture of Xijiang Miao ancient songs has inevitably been impacted.The change of Xijiang Miao people’s living environment,the lack of folk inheritance and the weakening of the cultural function of ancient songs make the inheritance of Miao ancient songs in crisis,so it is urgent to study the inheritance of Xijiang Miao ancient songs.In this paper,I use Xijiang Miao ancient songs as the research object,using the Applied Ethnomusicology,combining of anthropology,intangible cultural heritage and other multi-disciplinary theories,to make a panoramic survey of the four existing inheritance modes of Xijiang Miao ancient songs: folk,industry,government and school,and then reflects on the problems.Moreover,according to the inheritance dilemma of Xijiang Miao ancient songs,try to put forward some inheritance strategies to help Xijiang Miao ancient songs,which aims at Xijiang Miao ancient songs get effective and sustainable development.In addition,we hope to provide a strong reference for the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage of music through the case study of the inheritance of Xijiang Miao ancient songs.
