As people living standard rise,the development of tourism has been vigorously,appeared on the market all kinds of souvenirs,tourist souvenirs is a carrier material can directly reflect the regional cultural features,the development of tourism souvenirs design can help people better understand the local cultural connotation,can also play a role in promoting local culture communication.But there is a widespread homogeneity serious existing tourist souvenirs,insufficient innovation,quality,design type single,cause tourist souvenirs lack of market competitiveness,tourists’ purchasing desire is not high,to a certain extent,restrict the spread and development of local culture,in people’s minds don’t have a place for tourist souvenirs based image cognition,hindered the development of local economy and culture.Guidance on the theory of product image,therefore,can be better for the development of tourism souvenirs for nixing pottery design,the design can meet the demand of the public aesthetic and market of tourist souvenirs,promote the nixing pottery form a unified product visual image,in the region of Guangxi Nixing pottery as an example,discusses the importance of the product image for the development of tourist souvenirs design and significance.Through the first chapter,this paper introduces the source of the topic,the purpose and significance of applying the product image theory to Nixing pottery tourism souvenirs,the present research situation,the content and the method of the research,and the innovation points of the research are put forward.The second chapter mainly discusses the definition and composition of the product image theory and the function of the product image.The third chapter mainly focuses on the Nixing pottery distinctive product characteristics and the existing Nixing pottery product types,and carries out a brief analysis,so that people can better understand the Nixing pottery product characteristics of application analysis and feasibility;The fourth chapter enters into the research focus of this topic,mainly discussing the development and design of Nixing pottery tourist souvenirs,and analyzing the necessity and feasibility of Nixing pottery in the development and design of tourist souvenirs.First has carried on the elaboration on the definition and attribute of tourist souvenirs,facilitate people can more intuitive understanding to the relevant contents of the tourist souvenirs,secondly analyses the existing types of touristsouvenirs on the market and at present the development of tourist souvenir of Nixing pottery,combined with the actual Nixing pottery souvenirs design is discussed,and the favorable factors and potential market of Nixing pottery souvenirs and the development trend of the future;Fifth chapter on the product image theory as a guide for design of tourist souvenir of Nixing pottery theory,from the visual image,the quality of the product image,social image from three aspects,analysis of product image of unity,influence the design of tourist souvenirs,this paper discusses the theory of product image in Nixing pottery application significance of tourist souvenirs design,and through the product image theory of Nixing pottery souvenirs should follow the design principle and design method are detailed described.Chapter six mainly for Nixing pottery,the essay
