The Criticism Of Cynicism Under Marx’s Commodity Fetishism

The development of cynicism has experienced the evolution from ancient Greece to modern society.Ancient cynicism shows the world an image of unrestrained but pursuing virtue and truth.Although modern cynicism was born out of ancient cynicism,it went to the opposite of ancient cynicism in the process of development.It developed the cynicism of ancient cynicism into cynicism.There are essential differences between modern cynicism and ancient cynicism.In ancient times,cynicism persisted in believes and truth without fearing of external environment.As for modern cynicism,with maintaining a deep understanding of society,but do not believe that in modern society people can change the world by their own efforts,so they turn to drift with the tide.As a common social phenomenon,modern cynicism is an ideology essentially.In Marx’s point of view,social consciousness is determined by social life,and social phenomena are only external manifestations of social essence.the emergence of modern cynicism stems from the contempt of human value in the materialized world constructed by capitalist society to some extent.Marx thought that although the development of capitalist society created huge material wealth,and even that the productivity created by capitalist private ownership was more than the sum of all generations in the past,but at the same time,it also banned the cage of this material building.People are unconsciously restricted to this material building.Unprecedented dependence on things has resulted in one-sided and abnormal development of human beings.The living state of modern cynicism is one of its manifestations.People who are rich,comprehensive and three-dimensional no longer exist.Instead,people who are squeezed by the physical and chemical world are dried up.In this regard,Marx criticized the capitalist society from its pseudo nature and non historicity.Although people are imprisoned in the cage of capitalist material building,this cage is not airtight.At the same time,the bourgeois society has forged a weapon to destroy itself and the proletariat who uses it.The emergence of the proletariat means that the bourgeoisie’s materialized world’s rule over man is only temporary in history,not eternal.After criticizing the modern cynicism in the capitalist society,Marx put forward the return of human nature and sublated the capitalist private ownership which led to the modern cynicism.Finally,the capitalist society will be replaced by the Communist society,and in the Communistsociety,people will eventually get rid of the alienation and realize the return of human nature.In the Communist society,the modern cynicism,which exists in the dissimilation state and is split between knowledge and practice,will not exist.
