A Study On The Folk Songs Of Zhuang People In Shangsi

Carrying the memories of Zhuang people in Shangsi,the folk songs of Zhuang people in Shangsi are an epitome of the production,life,and struggle of the people of all ages there.The language of “Suilei”,“a kind of folk song of Zhuang people in Shangsi”,is concise and beautiful and its content is abundant and full of unique ethnic customs.Although “Suilei” is intimately related to people’s life,its development shows a declining trend due to the problem of inheritance subject,audience group,and inheritance methods so far.This thesis takes the folk songs of Zhuang ethnic group in Shangsi as a case study,striving to preserve and record the relevant materials of it to the greatest extent while conduct an in-depth investigation of its culture,clarify its historical development,complement case studies of folk song in academic circle and studies on the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,and provide referential suggestions for relevant departments of Shangsi county to protest and inherit ethnic folk arts.Supplemented by theoretical analysis such as folklore,literature,and cultural anthropology,this thesis combines field investigation with literature analysis to study “Suilei”,the folk song of Zhuang people in Shangsi.The thesis consists of four parts:the first part is a detailed description of the natural and human environment of the folk songs of Zhuang people in Shangsi;the second part introduces the singing texts of the folk songs of Zhuang people in Shangsi,and classifies and analyzes the text form and content of “Suilei”;the third section describes the singing practice of the folk songs of Zhuang people in Shangsi,which is discussed in detail from three aspects: singing subject,singing time and singing space;the fourth part describes the current inheritance and protection situation of “Suilei”,analyzes the causes for its decline and the problems in protection,and puts forward some thoughts on the inheritance and protection of “Suilei”.The study finds that the folk songs of Zhuang people in Shangsi “Suilei” is abundant in content,diverse in form,vivid in language,and unique in artistic charm.However,it is now in a crisis of inheritance and urgently needs protection.The protection and inheritance of “Suilei”requires the joint efforts of the government,relevant departments,schools,singers and the public,and the full use of various resources,so that “Suilei”can be better inherited and developed.
