A Research Through The Changes Of The Modern Singing Venues On The Continuing Motivation Of The Traditional Singing Culture Of The Zhuang People

The region of Zhuang Nationality is famous for its"sea of the songs". Zhuang people regard the mountain songs activity as one of the most important things throughout their lives and they cannot be separated from it. The profound culture of singing, deposited into the long history, deeply and naturally embodies the cultural characteristics of the Zhuang people. It became one of the symbols to identify the group, gathering the National Spirit of the whole Zhuang Nation.Zhuang people are fond of and good at singing. It's one part of their life and production, hence they engage the traditional singing activities at the places where they work and live. At the traditional singing places, people sing various songs of different styles and content to express their happy and sad feelings on the occasions of working in the fields, welcoming distinguished guests in the warm houses, singing in the markets or during the ceremonies of weddings and funerals. With time passing, the places for Zhuang people activities have been changed constantly. Comparing with the past, modern places for singing which has inherited characteristic of tradition, has changed a lot in modern times. Because of the changes of the production mode and the reduction of the working field, the sounds, therefore, diminish gradually. With the labor of the young people transferring to towns, the majority of Zhuang people have partly disappeared in the daily activities, the songs gathering in the town markets have been reduced; Since the penetration of foreign culture, the traditional cultural entertainments are represented in different forms. Hence the mountain songs have become minor in the entertaining, bringing on the traditional mountain songs sites transferring to non-mainstream. Apparently, the space for the Zhuang mountain songs seems to be reduced and separated with people's daily life. There will be a gap between tradition and modern times and the characteristics of the Zhuang groups are weakened. It is the same with the group's identification function.By meanings of describing the representing forms and the characteristics of the sites for mountain songs in traditional times, their changes and characteristics in modern times, this essay analyzed their cultural characteristics in order to find out the motivation which promotes the tradition continue from the characteristics of changes. This essay analyzed the rules of evolvement of the inherent cultural characteristics of Zhuang folk songs. Covering various subjects like folkloristic,cultural anthropology,ethnology,history and psychology and so on, it lengthways researched the change of the folk culture which gestate Zhuang Nation folk-songs from the process of Zhuang people singing sites's historical changes , thus analyzed the traditional ethical culture's existing environment today, search the motivation of continuing of zhuang nation traditional mountain songs culture in modern, and afforded advisable and scientific advice for protecting incorporeal cultural heritage.By analyzing changes of traditional singing sites of Zhuang Nation in the modern times, it found the affection of the national ideology field for singing activities in different historical time and the self-identity of the Zhuang Nation singing cultural master push or handicaps it. Nowadays, two factors become the major motivation, which continue the tradition. The influence of the national ideology field is the exterior power, which handicap or push, but the genuine critical motivation is national cohesion of accumulating in Zhuang people's inner heart.In fact, it is found, from the changes of Zhuang folk-song sites from tradition to modern, it has refracted mountain song's changing characteristics as a cultural phenomenon, this variation is brought by its changes of cultural characteristics under social and historical condition, and at the same time, it is also a process of itself regular movement. And culture with regular moving is critical. The Zhuang people's inner heart national cohesion is the motivation of continuing the traditional culture.Although the traditional singing sites have been decreased, the Zhuang people, master of the mountain song culture, explored new sites to show their group characteristics under the help of government, learners and businessmen. Modern Zhuang people began to entertain the tourists with mountain songs in the tourist sites; the international stage became important places for them to express their own National characteristics. The elements of tradition and modern have co-existed in the Zhuang mountain songs, the cultural phenomenon. They have never departed.
