| As a special cultural form,acrobatics has a long history in China where the most famous hometown of acrobatics is Wuqiao county of Hebei province.China Wuqiao International Circus Festival(CWICF)is one of the most famous events in the acrobatic field,enjoying a good reputation at home and abroad.In October 2019,the17 th CWICF was held in Hebei province.Acrobats from six continents gathered together in Hebei to put up their wonderful performances.In order to make the communications between foreign acrobats and the Chinese staff go well,interpreters played an essential role in the Festival.The author was responsible for interpreting for the Australian acrobats in the Festival,on which this report is based.This report is divided into five chapters.In Chapter one,the report introduces the background,features and requirements of the interpreting practice.In Chapter two,it describes the task process which includes pre-interpreting preparation,on-site interpreting process and post-interpreting evaluation.In Chapter three,it introduces the guiding theory – the Interpretive Theory.Chapter four is about case analysis.Chapter five is the conclusion of the whole practice.The author hopes she will further improve herself in the future.She also hopes that this report will bring some help to other interpreting learners. |
