Crime film,as a film type with strong audio-visual impact,has left a strong mark in the film history.It has become a very mature commercial film in the United States,South Korea,Japan and other countries.Since the beginning of the 21st century,crime films have sprung up in Chinese mainland.With the dark and gloomy visual effects,intense and exciting auditory effects,bloody and dazzling scenes of violence and deep care for the real society,they have built a solid bridge between business and art,realism and type narrative,and formed a rising type force.In this context,this paper attempts to return to the film noumenon,explore the characteristics of audio-visual language of crime films in Chinese mainland and the reasons for its formation,analyze the shortcomings of the use of audio-visual language of crime films in Chinese mainland and put forward suggestions for its development.Up to now,the development of criminal films in Chinese mainland has gone through three stages: the embryonic stage(1949-1966),the mature stage(1980-2000)and the prosperous stage(2001 to present).In the embryonic stage,thrillers were the main films,which provided the initial pattern and template for the development of later crime films;in the mature stage,suspense and criminal investigation were the themes of diversified development,and there were many excellent works and masterpieces;in the prosperous stage,such films as “Blind Shaft”,“Black Coal and Thin Ice”,“The Dead End”,“The devotion of Suspect X”,which showed their profound influence on the real society and human nature Think about it and get the recognition of the International Film Festival,the audience’s love and high box office returns.By reading the specific texts of crime films in the 21 st century in Chinese mainland,it is found that in audio-visual language,crime films in Chinese mainland pay attention to the use of dark and gloomy light and shadow tones,realistic photography techniques,focusing on the urban fringe,barren and backward countryside as narrative space,and using multiple images to metaphor social reality,while using a large number ofrealistic audio,humorous dialect dialogue and Music with strong rendering power.The formation of this audio-visual language features is inseparable from the film production technology and film management system,the aesthetic pursuit of audience and director,the influence of foreign film culture and creative style.Generally speaking,the audio-visual language of crime films in Chinese mainland in the 21 st century still has the problems of "mystifying" and similar,too personal expression of sound and painting,and spectacle of violence scenes.In order to seek opportunities for further development in the highly competitive film market,we should improve the type awareness and constantly explore the type creation mode;innovate the audio-visual expression methods and attach importance to the integration of national culture;adhere to the correct value orientation of the film and reduce the negative impact of violent hunting ground on the audience. |
