At the beginning of the 1940 s,Film noir appeared and reached the peak in the 1950 s.Although whether the Film noir is a type or a kind of visual style is still discussed endlessly until now,the influence characteristics of its expressionism and the philosophical connotation of existentialism reflect the darkness of the society and the humanity like a mirror profoundly.Its contents of the crime and violence are easy to arouse the curiosity of the movie audience and mix the individual style of the director,which has the higher research value.The thesis starts from the concept definition of the Film noir to concludes the reasons for producing the Film noir which are mainly influenced by the US hard-boiled detective fiction,German expressionism,French poetry realism and US postwar realism.The Film noir have the similarities with the mob films and black humor.However,they belong to the different concepts.From the four aspects of image features,topic figures,narrative styles and philosophy of life of the noir films,the thesis analyzes the style characteristics of the Film noir as well as holds the opinion that localized creation of the new Film noir has to keep the constant feature of the image representation styles in form and the show the darkness of the humanity from the view of the content by concluding the localized exploration process of the Film noir which is shown from several Chinese black film grafts.If these features arechanged,the films will not be defined as the Film noir.At the same time,the Film noir pay attention to the influence of the home ideology and are more colorful from the aspects of narrative techniques and gender images.In addition,the Film noir follow the steps of the science closely and utilize the latest technology of CG to widen the creation view and motivate the Chinese films to absorb foreign advanced culture and science technology,inherit the national culture as well as produce the films which have both the entertainment and profound connotation.
