This report is based on the practice of simulated interpretation of the documentary "Boston Med".It aims to summarize and analyze the medical interpreting’s characteristics and methods of interpretation under the guidance of Daniel Gile’s theories.With the development of the society,the increasing number of foreign residents in China calls for better medical services.Meanwhile,the demand for medical interpretation is gradually expanding,and more and more scholars are also committed to the study of interpretation in the medical field.Medical interpretation is characterized by large vocabulary,strong specialization,nominalization and extensive use of the passive voice.The report analyzes the causes of linguistic problems,omission of information and pauses in medical interpretation.The author tries to use such methods as preparing for translation,mastering the skills of taking notes,and remembering the pronunciation of medical words to cope with these problems.The report explores the methods of medical alternate interpretation,which is expected to make a modest contribution to the study of medical interpretation...
