| The original intention of “Belt and Road” initiative was infrastructure and inter-connectivity construction.More and more Chinese companies are seeking development opportunities in the countries along this route.An important part of infrastructure construction,civil engineering has always been the vanguard of China’s infrastructure construction at home and abroad.With the continuous advancement of the “Belt and Road” initiative,international exchanges and cooperation in the field of civil engineering have been strengthened,which makes the translation of civil engineering texts increasingly important.It’s quite difficult to translate civil engineering text,because there are many professional terms arise in the translation process,which requires highly professional knowledge for translators.How to tackle the translation of terminology and long sentences,is extremely important.By a case study ofthe Precast Pile Construction Method,the report was based on Newmark’s text typology theory and adopted communicative translation strategy to conduct in-depth exploration and research on civil engineering text translation,aiming at solving the problems and confusions in this field and proposing the resolutions accordingly.This practice shows translation strategies such as synchronizing,inversion,and division provide useful reference and inspiration for the translation of civil engineering texts in the future. |
