Study On The Youth’s Personal Strivings And Its Relationship With Self-generational Stereotypes And Future Orientation

In recent years,"striving" has become an important keyword in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech.In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the term "striving" was mentioned up to 30 times.General Secretary Xi proposed that "the Chinese youths in the new era should be brave enough to fight hard." As the builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the youths’ mental state has a strong role as a model for leading the youth community and the general public.However,current research shows that there are some youth whose problems of weakening and lack of striving spirit are more prominent.During the striving,their beliefs are weak,motivation is weak,and their will is weak.The results diverged.So what is the current situation and status of youth’s personal striving? From a psychological perspective,what factors will affect youth’s personal striving and how can they enhance their personal striving? Based on these issues,this research has carried out a more in-depth study with the core content of youth personal striving and the factors that may affect personal striving.In this study,through literature analysis,interviews,expert consultations,questionnaire surveys,experiments,and a combination of statistical methods,the content structure and status quo characteristics of youth personal strivings,the factors and characteristics that affect youth personals’ striving,and youth personals’ striving and generations Relationship between self-stereotype and future orientation.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In this study,the "Personal Striving Questionnaire" was prepared through various methods such as literature analysis,questionnaire survey,and expert consultation.The exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,and reliability and validity analysis methods were used to ensure that the questionnaire was consistent with psychometric It is required that the questionnaire can be used as one of the tools for assessing the characteristics of personal youth’s striving.(2)The personal striving of youth people is a multi-dimensional structure,consisting of four dimensions: happiness strivings,action strivings,goal-oriented strivings,and belief-type strivings.In addition,the personal strivings of youth people generally show a medium-to-high level.Dimensions are ranked from high to low in order of happiness-type striving,belief-type striving,goal-type striving,and action-type striving.The difference analysis found that there were significant differences in personal divisions and dimensions in terms of gender,generation,education,working age,family origin,whether they have been a student cadre and whether they are only children.(3)At present,young people are more positive about the stereotypes of their generations.The difference analysis found that there were significant differences in self-generational stereotypes among demographic variables such as gender,generation,work age,family origin,and whether or not they had been a student cadre.(4)Positive self-generational stereotypes and personal striving of youth people are positively correlated,and positive self-generational stereotypes have a positive predictive effect on personal striving;negative self-generational stereotypes and personal striving are positively correlated,but negative self-generational stereotypes Impression has no predictive effect on personal striving.In the experiment of initiating the influence of self-generational stereotypes on personal striving,the main effect of generational is significant,and personal striving is affected by the interaction of self-generational stereotypes and the generations to which they belong.(5)The youths show a positive attitude towards future time.The difference analysis found that there are significant differences in the future orientation of youth people in demographic variables such as generational generation,working age,and family origin.(6)Future orientation has a positive predictive effect on personal striving.That is,the higher the future orientation score held by youth people,the higher the level of personal striving.(7)The positive self-generational stereotypes of youth people are positively related to future orientation,and the negative self-generational stereotypes are negatively related to future orientation;positive self-generational stereotypes have a positive predictive effect on future orientation,and negative self-generational stereotypes have a future orientation Negative prediction effect.(8)Future orientation plays an intermediary role between positive self-generational stereotypes and personal striving.
