Lexicalization And Grammaticalization Of Disyllabic Function Word "X Qie"

This paper takes the lexicalization and grammaticalization of the disyllabic function word "X qie" as the research object,adopts the research methods of description and explanation,comparison and analysis,and through a comprehensive analysis of the corpus,respectively determines the word formation path and time of each function word,and analyzes its semantic and pragmatic functions.On this basis,it sums up the source of lexicalization of "X qie" and respectively explains and summarizes the motivation and mechanism of lexicalization and grammaticalization of"X qie" according to the existing theoretical knowledge of lexicalization and grammaticalization.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.Explain the purpose and significance of the study and determine the object and scope of the study.Summarize the current research situation explain different viewpoints,and briefly describe the research methods and corpus sources used in this paper.The second part is the lexicalization of the adverb "X qie" The adverb "X qie"includes 8 members,all of which are time adverbs.According to semantics,"X qie" is divided into "will be the essence" and "short-term meaning",and the lexicalization of"X qie" members in each category is described in detail.In the process of lexicalization research of the first word "fang qie"(方且),firstly,the part of speech distribution and semantic evolution of "qie" are described in detail,which provides necessary foreshadowing for the following research.The third part is the lexicalization and grammaticalization of the conjunction "X qie".The development of conjunction "X":involves not only lexicalization,but also grammaticalization of some words.Starting from the semantic meaning of conjunction"X qie",members can be divided into "progressive conjunction","concession conjunction" and "turning conjunction".Among the progressive conjunctions,the"progressive meaning" of "qie" runs through the lexicalization of most progressive conjunctions except that "yi qie"(亦且)is affected by the auxiliary meaning of "qie"when it is grammaticalized from adverb to conjunction.The members of the concessive conjunction "X" are all adverbs and adverbs synonymously combined into adverbs,which are grammaticalized into concessive conjunctions after reanalysis.The fourth part is the source,motivation and mechanism of lexicalization and grammaticalization of "X qie".The source of lexicalization is mainly synonymous compounding and cross-layer analysis.The motivation of lexicalization and grammaticalization is divided into disyllablization,high frequency usage and semantic similarity.The mechanism of lexicalization and grammaticalization is closely related to indirect grammaticalization,association mechanism and self-regulation mechanism within language.The fifth part is the conclusion.Based on the case studies of lexicalization and grammaticalization of "X" in chapters 2,3 and 4,the common features of lexicalization and grammaticalization of the disyllabic function word "X" are summarized:in the lexicalization process of the time adverb "X" and "qie",the time meaning of "qie" runs through all the time;However,in the process of lexicalizing the conjunction "X qie",the decisive sememe is "X",which is the key factor for the conjunction "X qie" to develop different semantics.On the basis of summarizing the whole work,the paper points out the shortcomings and the direction of future efforts.
