| This paper makes a systematic and comprehensive description of the lexicalization and grammaticalization of time semantic disyllabic words "X xian",bases on this,summarizes the source of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian",At the same time,applies the theory of lexicalization,grammaticalization and cognitive linguistics,aims at explaining the motivation and mechanism of the formation process of time semantic disyllabic words "X xian".Mainly adopts the method which contains the combination of synchronic and diachronic,through investigation and description,statistics and comparison,analysis and interpretation to figure out the evolution of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" meanwhile,explores the source and interpretation from syntactic,semantic and pragmatic.The full text is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.The introduction explains the purpose and significance of this paper,clarifies the scope of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" summarizes the current research situation,explains the existing disputes among scholars on this object,introduces the methods of research and sources of the corpus.The first part of the second chapter firstly sorts out the extension line of the meaning of"xian" shows the internal relationship among different extension lines of "xian".The second part classifies the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" according to its different lexical nature,then respectively makes comments on the multi-category words:dang xian(当先),shouxian(首先),shuai xian(率先),jin xian(尽先).The third part studies the semantic category of "X xian",mainly divides from two aspects:the event time-connectivity component and non-time-connectivity component.And analyzes the semantics contained in the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian".The third and the fourth chapter firstly divide "X xian"into four categories:"noun+xian","verb+xian","adjective+xian" and "preposition+xian" Through the description and analysis of the lexical grammatical process of each member,we found that there are 15 words lexicalize to noun and 7 words to adverb.Based on the analysis result,the law is as follows:the lexicalization and grammaticalization of time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" are less influenced by the part-of-speech of "X",compared that,the main factor of "time" contained in"xian" has a greater influence on the formation of the part-of-speech of "X xian".At the same time,it was found that the the time semantic of "X xian" was apeared in the modern Chinese period from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.The fifth chapter mainly studies the source of the lexicalization of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" as well as the motivation and mechanism of lexicalization and grammaticalization.The source of the lexicalization of "X xian" is phrase and cross-layer structure.The motivation of lexicalization and grammaticalization is related to disyllabification,syntactic environment and pragmatic factors,pragmatic factors include:fusion of lexical meaning,shedding of lexical meaning and abstraction of lexical meaning,high frequency use.The mechanism of lexicalization and grammaticalization is related to re-analysis,analogy and cognitive psychology.The last chapter is the conclusion.On the basis of the analysis of specific case in the second to fourth chapter,the law of the evolution of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian" is summed up as follows:Although the differences among "X" lead to different results in the lexicalization and grammaticalization process of "X xian".However,"xian" contained "Time",which runs through the development of the time semantic disyllabic words "X xian",Meanwhile points out the shortcomings of this paper. |
