Translation Practice Report On Chapter 2 Of From The Perspective Of Game Theory To Observe Japan’s Lifetime Employment System And The Japanese Culture

This report is a translation practice which is related to the Chapter II of the book,To observe Japan’s lifetime employment system and the Japanese culture from the perspective of game theory,written by Arai Kazuhiro.The book belongs to a social science academic work which observes the lifetime employment system and culture of Japan from the perspective of game theory.This report reviews and summarizes the process of translating chapter Ⅱ of the book,which are hoped to provide a reference for the author’s future translation practice of the area of social science.Translation is a purposeful behavior of using a language to express another language,which is to facilitate people to understand unfamiliar language.Through translation,you can eliminate communication barriers between different languages and promote communication between different languages and cultures.Different styles,their translation methods are also different.The book,To observe Japan’s lifetime employment system and the Japanese culture from the perspective of game theory,belongs to a social science academic work,which is professional,rigorous,logical and easy to understand.Nida’s "functional equivalence" theory advocates the translation should be more meaningful to convey the original mood,which provides a better guide for the translation of social science books.This report is based on the theory of "functional equivalence" which was proposed by Eugene A.Nida,a famous American linguist and translation theorist during the translation process.This report summarizes the situation of using Nida’s "functional equivalence" theory to guide the translation practice with specific examples.Using Nida’s "functional equivalence" theory as a guide,can improve the faithfulness and accuracy of the translation.In the specific translation process,it is believed that the readability is sometimes weakened for literal translation in accordance with the Japanese original sentence.Thus,it is needed to adjust the sentence structure.In order to improve the readability of the translation,the author adjusts the word order and voice,and adds the omitted content.In general,the author uses Eugene Nida’s "functional equivalence" theory as the basic direction of this translation,and for the specific problems in translation,this article also uses such as Tao Zhenxiao,Xu Jun and other translators’ theory and views to analysis.This article strives to find the most reasonable strategy to solve the translation problems,including words accurate and understandable language.The author hopes to continuously improve their level of translation and pursue a more complete translation work through the combination of translation practice and theoretical analysis.The report can be divided into three parts.The first part describes the early preparation of this translation practice and analyzes the text type.During the translation process,the author made a detailed preparation,such as:read the original repeatedly,find information.The second part combs the equivalence theory of Eugene Nida.At first,the author summarizes Nida’s theory of equivalence briefly,and then explains why Nida’s "functional equivalence" theory is used to guide the translation report.The third part is the central part of the article.The author analyzes the specific translation techniques from the three aspects of sentence order conversion,supplemental adjustment and passive sentence translation.The final conclusion part summarizes the shortcomings and the revelation in the translation process.
