| With the development of the science and technology,the educational objectives of the vocational school and the quality of the vocational students have changed a lot.The traditional teaching method reduced students’ English learning interest.The non-correlation between the teaching material and the Animation major decreased the learning motivation of most of the students.However,the Action-oriented teaching method initiates the concept of learning by doing,which helps to activate students’learning interest,thus improve the teaching quality.In this paper,I applied the Action-oriented teaching method as my research technique.The subjects of the study are students from the Animation major(Class 1317 and Class 1318).This paper tries to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the application of the Action-oriented teaching method in the English lesson of the Animation major.During the process of documents consulting,I found that in the domestic and overseas vocational education,teachers utilize Action-oriented teaching method as their teaching method.And more and more teaching experts have published new research papers.However,they focus more on the professional courses than on the cultural courses.Thus,whether the Action-oriented teaching method can be applied in the English lesson of Animation major is worth studying.The experiment proved that the Action-oriented teaching method is a suitable method utilized in the English lesson of Animation major,which helps to build up students’ confidence and enhance students’ learning efficiency.In this paper,the subjects of the study are students in Class 1317 and Class 1318,who major in Animation.And the period of the experiment lasts one semester.The number,the ratio of girls and boys and the English ability are on the similar level,which is in accordance with the requirement of the experiment.During the experiment,I make three questionnaires and two tests,and randomly I choose some students to receive my interview to test the learning result after I apply the Action-oriented teaching method.The result of the experiment is that:after utilizing the Action-oriented teaching method,I find that most of the students in the experimental class show more interest in English learning,take a more active attitude and their learning result is more effective.Comparatively,the students in the compared class show no difference in their interest,attitude and efficiency.I use spss17.0 to have a t-test of the data.The analysis demonstrates that the experimental hypothesis is valid,and that there is discrimination between the pre-test and post-test.In the students’ mental respect,students perform their confidence and are willing to learn English.Finally,I make the following conclusion:the Action-oriented teaching method utilized in the English lesson of the Animation major is valid and helpful,which activates the students’ learning interest and changes the students’ learning attitude.The learning result is obvious.I found that the emotional factors between teachers and students,and those among students play an important role in English learning,which is worthy of a further research. |
