Population aging has become the new normal of China’s development. With the reduction of basic family pension units, the responsibility of the government in the elderly care system will be more and more clear in the future, and it is imperative to develop diversified pension methods.Mastering the evolution trajectory of healthy life expectancy of the elderly and understanding the impact of different pension modes on the health status and healthy life expectancy of the elderly has become an important part of improving the pension service system. However, there are few existing studies on this aspect,so this paper focuses on this issue and puts forward feasible suggestions for improving the old-age care system. The specific methods and conclusions are as follows.Firstly, based on the data of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS)from 2002 to 2014,the evolution trajectory of healthy life expectancy of the elderly in China was studied by using the multi-state life table method, which can effectively reflect the dynamic changes of health expectancy of the elderly. It was found that the proportion of healthy life expectancy and index of quality of life of the young were higher than those of the elderly.75-79 years old is an important stage for the health status of the elderly to change from healthy to disabled.Secondly, based on the cross-sectional data of 2008,XGBoost algorithm is introduced to rank the importance of features.According to the literature and the design characteristics of CLHLS questionnaire, control variables were selected as the input items in advance and the health status of the elderly as the output items. It was found that 10 characteristics including pension mode, age, gender and self-rated health status were important factors affecting the health status of the elderly. Finally,OLS regression was conducted using the selected important features as independent variables to study the impact of pension mode on the life quality and health status of the elderly. It was found that the life quality of the elderly living alone and in institutions was better than that of the elderly living at home. The effect of pension mode on the proportion of healthy life expectancy is more significant in women, rural areas, the elderly without retirement security and medical security.According to the above results,at the end of the paper, policy suggestions are put forward for the elderly.
