Objective:Under the guidance of Professor Chang Ke,the TCM clinical symptoms and changes of urine Red Blood Cells and Occult Blood in children with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura Nephritis before and after treatment with Shuangshao decoction were recorded to evaluate its effectiveness and safety in treating hematuria(deficiency of Yin and hyperactivity of Fire). Methods:From December 2018 to December 2019,64 children aged 3-18 years old with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura Nephritis(HSPN)were selected to participate this clinical research. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the ratio of 1:1.The treatment group was treated with the instructor’s clinical experience prescription Shuangshao Tang, and the control group was treated with Zhibai Dihuang Pills orally. After 8 weeks of continuous treatment, the changes of urine occult blood, urine red blood cell count and TCM syndromes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. After the treatment,we used SPSS25.0 software to process and analyze the experimental data.Based on these data, the clinical efficacy and safety of Shuangshao Decoction in treating children with HSPN were explored.Results:(1)General data comparison:The two groups were not statistically different in gender, age, and course of disease(P > 0.05),and they were comparable.(2)Before treatment: The difference in the total scores of the two groups of syndromes before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05),which is comparable. There was no statistically significant difference in urine occult blood and red blood cell counts before treatment(P > 0.05),and they can be compared.(3)Comparison of TCM syndromes: Comparison of skin purpura, feverish palms and soles, hot flashes and night sweats, dry mouth, insomnia before and after treatment(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant, indicating that both groups can notably improve the primary and secondary symptoms.Comparing the symptoms of the two groups after treatment, the results showed they all P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant. There was no obvious difference in the efficacy of the two groups in improving the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine.(4)In terms of urine red blood cell count and occult blood, the difference of the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05),indicating that both groups can be effectively reduced urine red blood cells and occult blood, but there is no significant difference in effect.(5)In terms of efficacy:In terms of curative effect, the effective rate of Shuangshao group and Zhi Bai group were both 87.5%.There was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05)by rank sum test.It shows that Shuangshao decoction is as effective as Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan in treating the disease. Conclusion: Shuangshao decoction can improve the clinical syndrome of Purpura nephritis, effectively reduce the urine Red Blood Cells count and urine occult blood, and has dramatic clinical effect and no toxic and adverse reaction. It’s worth spreading.
