Objective:Understand the current situation of compassion fatigue of standardized training nurses, explore the relationship between professional self-concept,moral courage, and compassion fatigue of standardized training nurses, analyze related factors for compassion fatigue, and take targeted measures for nursing managers to reduce compassion fatigue of standardized training nurses and promote standardized training of nurses’ mental health provides empirical evidence. Methods:The convenient sampling method was used to select clinical standardized training nurses from two third-class public hospitals in Shandong Province. The general information questionnaire, the Professional Self-Concept of Nurses Instrument(PSCNI),the Nurse Moral Courage Scale(NMCS),and the Professional Quality of Life(Pro-QOL)were used to conduct a online questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0.The statistical methods included descriptive statistical, independent sample t-test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis.Result:1.The dimensions of compassion fatigue for standardized training nurses is compassion satisfaction(4.07±0.71),job burnout(3.08±0.86),and secondary traumatic stress(2.52±0.54).2.The total level of professional self-concept of standardized training nurses was(2.97±0.36),and in five dimensions, the skills were at the highest score(3.24±0.45),and communication was at the lowest score(2.73±0.39).The overall average score of moral courage of standardized training nurses was(3.85±0.65).Among the four dimensions, compassion and true presence with patients(3.92±0.68)scored the highest, and commitment to patient care(3.74±0.74)scored the lowest.3.The results of the univariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the score of compassion satisfaction of standardized training nurses between the only child and the current salary satisfaction groups(P<0.05);There was a significant difference in the score of job burnout of standardized training nurses between the current salary satisfaction and the nursing experience before admission(P<0.05);There was a significant difference in the score of secondary traumatic stress of standardized training nurses between the current department and the nursing experience before admission(P<0.05).4.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the professional self-concept of standardized training nurses was significantly positively correlated with compassion satisfaction dimension(r=0.670,P<0.01),and was significantly negatively correlated with job burnout dimension(r=-0.550,P<0.01);moral courage and compassion Satisfaction dimension(r=0.717,P<0.01),secondary traumatic stress dimension(r=0.271,P<0.01)showed a significant positive correlation and a significant negative correlation with job burnout dimension(r=-0.280,P<0.01).5.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of compassion satisfaction of standardized training nurses included satisfaction, compassion, and being with the patient, explaining 68%of the variance;the influencing factors of job burnout included the nursing experience before admission, satisfaction degree, and communication, explaining 48.3%of the variance;the influencing factors of secondary traumatic stress included the department of intensive care medicine, the nursing experience before admission, satisfaction, and communication, explaining 32.3%of the variance.Conclusion:1.Standardized training nurses’ compassion satisfaction, job burnout, and secondary traumatic stress are all at a moderate level, compassion fatigue is not optimistic. It is suggested that nursing managers should take measures to enhance the compassion satisfaction level of standardized training nurses, reduce the level of job burnout and secondary traumatic stress,to improve their compassion fatigue.2.There is a significant positive correlation between the professional self-concept of standardized training nurses and compassion satisfaction dimension, and a significant negative correlation with job burnout dimension;moral courage has a significant positive correlation with compassion satisfaction and secondary traumatic stress dimension, and a significant negative correlation with job burnout dimension.3.Standardized training nurses’ satisfaction and compassion, and being true with the patient are important predictors of compassion satisfaction.Raising the level of satisfaction in professional self-concept,compassion and true presence with patients in moral courage, can significantly increase the level of compassion satisfaction.4.Standardized training of nurses, whether they have nursing work experience, satisfaction, and communication before admission are important predictors of job burnout. It is recommended that nursing managers pay attention to standardized training nurses with relevant work experience, improve the satisfaction and communication level in professional self-concept,which can significantly improve job burnout.5.Standardized training nurses currently in the Intensive Care Unit, whether they have nursing work experience before admission, satisfaction, and communication are important predictors of secondary traumatic stress. It is recommended that nursing managers reasonably arrange rotation departments for standardized training nurses, pay attention to standardized training nurses with relevant work experience, and improve the level of satisfaction and communication in professional self-concept,which can significantly reduce the level of secondary traumatic stress.
