Objective:To By investigating the preoperative frailty of elderly patients undergoing elective surgery for fractures and analyzing the influencing factors of frailty,we will provide a scientific basis for the evaluation and management of frailty in the future. Methods: The cluster sampling method was used to select elderly fracture patients in the orthopedic department of 11 general hospitals from December 2019 to December2020 who were scheduled for elective surgery as the research objects. The convenience sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey of 1048 elderly orthopedic fracture patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and agreed to participate in the study by using the method of convenience sampling.Survey tools include General information questionnaire,EFS(the Edmonton Frail Scale),MNA-SF(the short-from Mini-Nutritional Assessment),PSQI(Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index)1100 questionnaires were distributed,1048 valid questionnaires were returned, and the effective response rate was 95.27%.Use Excel to organize the data, and use SPSS 21.0software to perform statistical analysis on the survey data.Chi-square test and multiple linear regression analysis were used to screen out the influencing factors of preoperative frailty in elderly patients undergoing elective fracture surgery in orthopedics Results:1.The preoperative frailty score of elderly patients undergoing elective surgery in orthopedics is(7.51±3.57),of which 476(45.42%)are non-frail and 572(54.58%)are in frailty. There are differences in different gender, age, education level, marital status, total monthly income, number of comorbidities, medical care in the past year, and fracture site, which are statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The preoperative nutritional score of elderly fracture patients undergoing elective surgery in orthopedics is(11.20±2.06),of which 98(9.4%)are malnourished,480(45.8%)are at risk of malnutrition, and 469(44.8)are at risk of malnutrition.%),There are differences in different ages, education levels, marital status, total monthly income, number of comorbidities, medical treatment in the past year, and fracture sites, which are statistically significant(P<0.05)3.The preoperative sleep quality score of elderly fracture patients undergoing elective surgery in the department of orthopedics is the sleep quality score of the survey subjects in this study were(9.49±4.20),of which 116 people(11.1%)had poor sleep quality, and 268 people had generally sleep quality(25.6%),489 people(46.7%)had good sleep quality, and 175 people(16.7%)had good sleep quality. There are differences in different gender, age, marriage, education level, economic status, number of comorbidities, fracture location, number of hospitalizations in the past year, and number of emergency department in the past year, which are statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Age,marital status, number of comorbidities, total monthly income, number of hospitalizations in the past year, and nutritional status are the influencing factors of preoperative weakness in elderly patients with fractures.Elderly fracture patients with multiple chronic diseases, low education, poor economic status, and malnutrition have a high incidence of frailty. They should be screened and detected as early as possible, and targeted interventions should be given to reduce adverse outcomes and improve quality of life.
