Observation On The Clinical Effect On Temperature Of Children With Pneumonia (Wind-heat Trapped Lung Type) After Guasha Therapy

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Guasha therapy on the body temperature of children with pneumonia(wind-heat trapped lung type),and to evaluate the clinical effect of Guasha therapy on temperature of children with pneumonia(wind-heat trapped lung type).MethodsThis study collected 60 children with pneumonia(wind-heat trapped lung type)who met the inclusion criteria from the pediatric inpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and diveded them into observation group and control group according to their parents’ wishes,each group has 30 cases.The observation group was given Gua Sha combined with traditional Chinese and western medicine conventional treatment,the control group was given traditional Chinese and Western medicine conventional treatment.Body temperature 5min before and 0.5h,1h,2h,3h,4h,5h,7h,6h,8h after treatment were recorded,and the time for the body temperature to drop by 0.5℃,the cases of reusing ibuprofen and the times of taking ibuprofen within 24h and 48h,then compare the data of the two groups by statistical methods.ResultsThe body temperature of the observation group and the control group at 0.5h,1h,2h,3h,4h,and 5h after treatment were both lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),the body temperature of the observation group showed a downward trend between o.5h to 3h after treatment and those of the control group between 0.5h to 4h(P<0.05).The body temperature of the at 0.5h,1h,2h,and 5h were lower in the observation group than in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The decrease of the body temperature at 0.5h,1h,and 2h in the observation group was greater than that of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The time for the body temperature to drop by 0.5℃ was quicker in the observation group than in the control(P<0.05).The cases of reusing ibuprofen and the times of taking ibuprofen within 24h and 48h in the observation group were less than that of the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with conventional treatment alone,the combination with Guasha therapy and conventional treatment for fever symptoms in children with pneumonia of wind-heat trapped lung type,with the advantages of larger decrease in early time,earlier antipyretic onset time,longer antipyretics duration,and can reduce the use of ibuprofen,was worthy of further clinical promotion.
