Objective: The comparison of the clinical effects of the iASSIST intelligent navigation system assisted total knee resurfacing(TKA)and traditional total knee replacement surgery for the treatment of short stature knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Method: The study was conducted from May 2015 to November 2020.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,35 cases(55 knees)were finally included in this study.According to whether the total knee arthroplasty surgery uses the iASSIST intelligent navigation system, they are divided into iASSIST-TKA group and traditional TKA group,iASSIST-TKA group(1 male,14 female,26 knees);traditional TKA group(4 males,16 females,29 knees).Follow-up for half a year after operation, record the operation time, postoperative drainage volume, hemoglobin before and 1 day after operation, and the clinical evaluation effect of knee society score(KSS)by the American Knee Society before and half a year after operation. The deviation of the tibial and femoral component angle of the morphological surface(LTC,LFC),the tibial and femoral componentangle of the coronal surface(FTC,FFC),and the coronal hip-knee-ankle angle(HKA)from the ideal value.Statistical methods were used to analyze whether there were statistical differences in the research factors between the two groups. Results: The difference between the HKA,FFC,FTC,LFC,LTC and the ideal value of the iASSIST-TKA group is smaller than that of the traditional group, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The iASSIST system can provide more accurate surgery The postoperative drainage volume of patients in the iASSIST-TKA group was less than that in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).There was less postoperative articular cavity bleeding, which was helpful for rapid postoperative recovery. In the perioperative index, the difference in operation time between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the use of iASSIST navigation during the operation did not significantly increase the operation time. There was no statistically significant difference in the amount of unilateral and bilateral hemoglobin between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05).However,on the first day after surgery,it was found that compared with the traditional group, the amount of hemoglobin in the iASSIST-TKA group was higher, and the difference was statistically significant.Scientific significance(P<0.05),which means that the intraoperative blood loss in the iASSIST-TKA group is less, which may be related to the lack of marrow opening on the femoral side of the iASSIST-TKA group. The difference in KSS scores between the two groups before surgery was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Although the knee joint movement function of the two groups was significantly improved six months after surgery compared with the preoperative KSS scores, the postoperative KSS scores of the two groups were not statistically significant.(P>0.05).Conclusion: Compared with traditional technology, the use of iASSIST intelligent navigation system to assist total knee arthroplasty can effectively ensure the accurate reconstruction of the lower limbs of patients with short stature and related deformities around the knee joint, accelerate the rehabilitation of the patient’s knee joint after surgery, and reduce the perioperative period of the patient The trauma of the operation, and good results are obtained in the accuracy of the operation.
