| Objective: To discuss the correlation and clinical importance of interleukin-17A-197 gene polymorphism with peri-implantitis by detecting the single acid polymorphism in patients with implants.Methods:1.Reserch Objective:50 cases with peri-implantitis and 80 healthy controls were recruited from October 2018 to January 2020 in Stomatology Department of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital. All patients had at least one bone level implant(Korea OSSTEM TSIII SA)and all implants had to be at least 1 year in function and with its respective final restoration.2.Data acquisition and experimental methods:Peri-implant examination included peri-implant probing depth(PPD),peri-implant marginal bone resorption(MBL),modified plaque index(mPLI)and modified sulcus bleeding index(m SBI).DNA was extracted from buccal cells, and the IL-17-197G/A polymorphism was genotyped by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)amplification.SPSS version 23 software was used for data analysis, and Odds ratio(OR)was used for risk analysis of alleles and genotypes in peri-implantitis.Results: The genotype and allele distribution between peri-implantitis and healthy controls was significantly different(P<0.05).The odds ratio for GA,AA were 3.412(95%CI 1.360~8.588)and 3.714(95%CI 1.259~10.956),and for A allele was 1.932(95%CI 1.164~3.205).Conclusion: IL-17-197(G/A)gene polymorphisms is related to peri-implantitis.Patients who carry GA and AA genotypes are more prone to have peri-implantitis,and A allele can be a risk factor for peri-implantitis. |
