Objectives:Collecting related clinical studies of gene polymorphism and peri-implantitis to evaluate the association between IL-6 G/C(-174),TNFA G/A(-308)and MMP-1 1G/2G(-1607)polymorphisms and peri-implantitis susceptibility by meta-analysis.Methods:The clinical studies on the relationship about the gene polymorphisms and peri-implant disease were searched in databases, like CNKI,web of science,Pubmed,MEDLINE,Embase,Cochrane and so on by Chinese and English until December 2019.The keywords we used wre "peri-implant inflammation","peri-implant disease","dental implant","implant loss","implant failure","peri-implant bone loss","peri-implantitis";"genetic variation","polymorphism","genotype","polymorphism","variant","SNP".After performing a systematic computer search,we manually reviewed the references for the search results.According to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria,to minimize deviation and improve reliability, two researchers independently selected articles and collected data.Information was collected from the documents that met the inclusion criteria.Review Manager v5.3 and Stata v10.0 were used, and the level of meta-analysiswas P=0.05.Results:In this paper,16 literatures were included, including 17 studies(Aleksandra et al.’s paper can be divided into two independent study samples),that is,5 studies were included in IL-6(-174)gene polymorphism research,9 studies were included in TNFA(-308)gene polymorphism research. As to IL-6 G/C(-174),there was no significant difference between the peri-implantitis group and the healthy implant group in the dominant, recessive and allelic models, and the OR and 95%CI showed no correlations between IL-6 G/C(-174)polymorphism and non-implant failure subgroup or implant failure subgroup. As to TNFA G/A(-308),the OR and 95% CI of the non-implant failure subgroup was(1.82[1.05,3.17])in the dominant model, showing that the gene was associated with non-implant failuresubgroup, but not with impant failure subgroup;the OR and 95% CI did not show an association between the gene and non-implant failure subgroup or implant failure subgroup. In the allele model of MMP-1 1G/2G(-1607),the combined OR and 95% CI were 2.32[1.53,3.53]),that is,the 2G allele was associated with the susceptibility of non-smoking population to early implantation failure.Conclusion:(1)In the dominant, recessive and allelic models,IL-6 G/C(-174)gene polymorphism was not correlated with peri-implantitis nor implant failure susceptibility.(2)In the dominant model,GA+AA genotype of TNFA G/A(-308)was associated with peri-implantitis,but not with implant failure.;In the recessive model,TNFA G/A(-308)gene polymorphism was not associated with peri-implantitis nor implant failure.(3)The 2G allele of MMP-1 1G/2G(-1607)was associated with early planting failure in non-smoking population. |
