PurposeThrough the special investigation and Research on the mental health of the workers in designated hospitals in a city during the epidemic period of cowid-19,we hope to understand the psychological status of the population and explore its related factors,so as to provide basic data and scientific basis for carrying out psychological intervention and supporting measures in the future.MethodsAdopting qualitative research and quantitative research, the workers of an infectious disease hospital admitted by COVID-19 were selected as the research objects.Using one-to-one in-depth interviews,semi-structured interviews were conducted with the self-made interview outline, and Nvivoll.0 software was used to encode and refine the topics. To carry out the psychological questionnaire survey of the workers, including general health questionnaire, anxiety scale, depression scale, self resilience and social support scale. After quality control and verification of the data,spss22.0 statistical analysis software was used to describe the frequency distribution of the data, chi square analysis was used to classify the data, and logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of the psychological status of the workers.Results1.A total of 21 workers participated in the in-depth interview study, and their psychological experiences during the epidemic period included 4 themes and 20 subthemes,namely:(1)the coexistence of negative and positive psychological experiences, such as fear, anxiety, stress, complaints, insomnia, sense of job mission,self-relief and professional identity;(2)The level of social support is obviously insufficient, such as:family and friends do not support, receive socialinjustice, single interpersonal relationship, and low availability of social support;(3)Many factors trigger negative emotions, such as physical exhaustion, discomfort caused by protective equipment, negative triggering events, and management guilt;(4)Psychological needs are diversified, such as leadership model needs, protection needs, psychological adjustment needs and career expectations.2.A total of 425 valid questionnaires were collected from the survey, the response rate was 80.19%.The detection rate of poor general mental health, anxiety, depression, self resilience and social support was 18.4%,31.1%,83.7%,54.1%and 49.4%,respectively.Among them, the anxiety score of the workers was 45.01±11.53,higher than the national norm(29.78±0.46),the difference was statistically significant(t=41.71,P<0.001);the depression score was 48.91±10.61,higher than the national norm(44.9±9.7)、(41.9±10.6),the difference was statistically significant(t=6.939,P<0.001).3.The results of multivariate analysis showed that contacting patients(OR=3.331,95%CI:1.612-6.883)and uncertain contacting patients(OR=4.155,95%CI:1.685-10.250)were the risk factors of general mental health;age 41~50 years old(OR=0.232,95%CI:0.063-0.849)and>50 years old(OR=0.172,95%CI:0.043-0.690)were the protective factors of general mental health.College degree or above(OR=2.711,95%CI:1.192~6.165),contact patients(OR=l.922y 95%CI:1.030-3.585),uncertain contact patients(OR=3.181,95%CI:1.372-7.376),lack of protective equipment(OR=2.935,95%CI:1.223-7.042)were the risk factors of anxiety;monthly income was 3001~5000 yuan(OR=0.456,95%CI:0.262-0.792),>5000 yuan(OR=0.323,95%CI:0.109-0.960)was the protective factor of anxiety;Supervisor(OR=3.528,95%CI:1.346-9.244),contactpatients(OR=2.038,95%CI:1.106-3.755),uncertain contact patients(OR=3.42,95%CI:1.369~8.581)were risk factors for depression;age 41~50 years old(OR=0.256,95%CI:0.093-0.705),age>50 years old(OR=0.343,95%CI:1.369-8.581),high school or technical secondary school(OR=0.590,95%CI:0.358-0.970),monthly income of 3001~5000 yuan(OR=0.464,95%CI:0.272-0.789),>5000 yuan(OR=0.165,95%CI:0.058-0.465)were protective factors of depression.Age 41-50 years old(OR=3.614,95%CI:1.325-9.854)and>50 years old(OR=3.808,95%CI:1.372-10.570)were protective factors of mental resilience.Uncertain contact with patients(OR=0.368,95%CI:0.153-0.882)was the risk factor of social support;age 41~50 years old(OR=3.080,95%CI:1.108-8.565)and administrative position(OR=1.821,95%CI:1.024-3.238)were the protective factors of social support.ConclusionsDuring the epidemic period of cowid-19,there were some mental health problems in the hospital workers, and the negative emotions and positive emotions coexisted. The positive detection rates of anxiety and depression are higher than that of the general population in China, which need to be paid close attention to and actively intervened. The mental health status of hospital workers is caused by the interaction of various factors, such as:the individual’s age, education, monthly income, etc;Contact with patients, satisfaction degree of protective equipment, department position, job level, etc; The organization’s emergency management, manpower deployment, protection training, social support system and other factors.which requires the joint efforts of individuals, units and society to take corresponding intervention measures to ensure the mental health of workers.
