Investigation On ’Internet + Nursing Service’ Status And Needs Of Discharged Patients And Nurses

ObjectiveThrough the investigation of discharged patients and nurses in Wuhan,this study aims to understand the cognition,attitude and demand of ’ Internet + nursing service ’ between the two sides,so as to provide reference for the subsequent development of ’ Internet +nursing service ’ in Wuhan.MethodsThrough literature review and two rounds of expert consultation,《Questionnaire on ’Internet + Nursing Service ’ Willingness of Discharged Patients》 and 《Questionnaire on Nurses ’ Willingness to ’ Internet + Nursing Service ’》 were determined.From June 2020 to November 2020,patients and nurses discharged from a tertiary hospital in Wuhan were selected for questionnaire survey by convenience sampling method.The results were entered into Excel,and SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze the utilization rate,constituent ratio and mean ±standard deviation.Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used for the univariate analysis of the demographic data of discharged patients on their demand for the“Internet + nursing service” project,and binary logistic regression analysis was used for the multivariate analysis.Results1.The understanding degree of discharged patients on the content of Internet +nursing home service : not knowing(62.1%),having a certain understanding(37.6 %),and having experienced home service(0.3 %);Main ways of understanding : newspaper /television(72.9 %),mobile phone or computer(61.8 %),hospital publicity(48.7 %);Main concerns : high service costs(88.2 %),low personal safety(25.5 %),and personal privacy disclosure(19.6 %);Willingness to provide services to nurses : willing(62.1 %),unwilling(9.2 %),uncertain(28.8 %).2.Nurses ’ Understanding of Internet + Nursing Home Service : do not understand(7.5 %),have a certain understanding(81.1 %),participated in the home service(11.4 %);Main access : mobile phone or computer(78.3 %),hospital publicity(58.8 %);The willingness to provide services : willing(63.5 %),unwilling(12.3 %),uncertain(24.2 %);Main concerns : low personal safety(86.2 %),high risk of nursing operation(74.4 %),personal privacy disclosure(60.2 %);The main reasons for willing to provide door-to-door services are as follows : providing personalized health services(76.6 %),improving self-worth(68.8 %),increasing income(63.0 %),and working more freely(62.1 %).3.Both discharged patients and nurses had high demand for Internet + nursing home service projects.Both sides had high demand scores for PICC maintenance,wound / stoma dressing change,rehabilitation exercise and other projects.The demand score of discharged patients for each service content is lower than that of nursing staff.The results of regression analysis show that the demand of discharged patients for ’ Internet + nursing service ’ project is related to age,education level,family monthly income and other factors.4.When carrying out ’ Internet + nursing service ’,nurses mainly need to verify patient information on the platform(4.687),set up emergency plan for ’ Internet + nursing service ’(4.639),implement standardized service process(4.577),and provide service platform by the hospital(4.574).conclusion1.The discharged patients in Wuhan have a low understanding of the content of ’Internet + nursing service ’,but they have a high intention to choose ’ Internet + nursing service ’,which needs to increase publicity and give relevant protection.2.Nurses in Wuhan have a high level of awareness of ’ Internet + nursing services ’,have a variety of ways of understanding and have a positive attitude,but there are also some concerns about access to services.3.Discharged patients and nurses have a high demand for home-based services.Age,education level,family monthly income and primary caregivers are the influencing factors of the demand for ’ Internet + nursing services ’ projects.4.At present,the standardization mode of ’ Internet + nursing service ’ has not been established,and nurses have more needs for home service,which needs to further improve relevant policies and laws and regulations.
