Research purposeWith the rapid development of the economy and society,there is an increasing demand for innovative talents all over the world.In order to accelerate the cultivation of high-quality innovative talents and achieve the goal of creating first-class universities,Chinese colleges and universities vigorously promote education and teaching reform.Since2006,the author’s medical university has implemented innovative education reform and formed a “capacity-centered innovative education system”.This model has been widely recognized by peers and the national education administration.However,this innovative education and teaching reform needs further study in many aspects.In particular,the re are few systematic researches on students’ willingness to participate in innovation education reform.Therefore,the author studies medical students’ behavioral intention in innovative education,in order to grasp their behavior intentions and influenci ng factors,and to provide reference for deepening the reform of university innovation education.Research methodThis study analyzes the relevant literatures on college students’ willingness to participate in innovative education in the past ten years through literature analysis.The behavior intention model of medical students participating in innovation education is proposed on the basis of the theory of planned behavior,the model of science and technology acceptance,and the characteristics of innovative education.20 questions were put forward in the questionnaire for the intentional survey of innovative undergraduate students in medical education.Under the experts’ guidance,the questionnaire on the behavioral intention of medical undergraduates participating in innovative education was designed.Then,the study conducted surveys among medical students and made relevant analysis.After that,the descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis were carried out on the survey results using SPSS 21.0.Then,the structural equation model method was used to analyze the Cronbach’α coefficient and the confirmatory factor for each research dimension and its measurement questions to understand the dimensions and to check the reliability,convergence validity and discriminant validity.Then,several measurement questions are reduced to a few measurement indicators,and the path analysis results are obtained by using the linear structure relationship development structure model.Research results1.Research results of medical students’ participation in innovative education behavior intentions(1)There is no significant difference in the influence of the students’ family residence,gender,grade,pre-enrollment area and grade ranking on the dimensions of the study.(2)In terms of the enthusiasm of medical students participating in activities related to innovation education,boys are higher than girls,and junior students are higher than senior students.2.Empirical research results of medical students’ intention to participate in innovative education behavior(1)In empirical research,the results of path analysis show that the quality of innovative education is positively correlated with cognitive acceptability,with a correlation coefficient of 0.89;the quality of innovative education is positively correlated with the cognitive usefulness of students,with a correlation coefficient of 0.17;sexuality is positively correlated with cognitive usefulness,with a correlation coefficient of 0.94;cognitive acceptability is positively correlated with emotional attitude,with a correlation coefficient of 0.88;cognitive usefulness is positively correlated with emotional attitude,correlation coefficient is 0.22,and emotional attitude is positively correlated w ith behavioral trend.The correlation coefficient is 0.87,and the P value of the relationship between the paths is <0.001,indicating that the relationship between the paths is established.(2)Path analysis results also indicate that cognitive acceptabil ity,cognitive usefulness,and educational quality are indirectly affected by the dimension of participation.(3)According to the research results,the author constructs a model of intention model for medical students to participate in innovative education,and the model is confirmed.ConclusionThe research results confirm that university teaching management staff can improve the quality of personnel training and school-running level by improving the cognitive usefulness and acceptability of medical students in innovative education,influencing students’ behavioral intentions,and ultimately promoting students’ active participation in innovative education.This research is the first to conduct a systematic study on the behavioral intentions of medical students participating in innovative education.It explores and confirms the behavioral intentions and influencing factors of medical students participating in undergraduate innovation education,which can provide reference for relevant departments and universities to formulate policies.
