Research purpose:With the rapid development of the economy and society,there is an increasing demand for innovative talents all over the world.In order to accelerate the cultivation of high-quality innovative talents and achieve the goal of creating first-class universities,Chinese colleges and universities vigorously promote education and teaching reform.Since 2006,the author’s medical university has implemented innovative education reform and formed a model of “capacity-centered innovative education system”.This model has been widely recognized by peers and the national education administration.However,the innovative education and teaching reform needs further study in many aspects,such as students’ willingness to participate in innovation education reform.Therefore,the author studies medical students’ behavioral intention in innovative education,in order to understand their behavior intentions and the related influencing factors,so as to provide relevant implications for deepening the university’s innovative education reform.Research method:This study analyzes relevant literatures on college students’ willingness to participate in innovative education in the past ten years through literature analysis.The behavior intention model of medical students participating in innovation education is proposed on the basis of the theory of planned behavior,the model of science and technology acceptance,and the characteristics of innovative education.20 questions are put forward in the questionnaire for the intentional survey of innovative undergraduate students in medical education.Under the guidance of experts,the questionnaire on the behavioral intention of medical undergraduates participating in innovative education is designed.Then,surveys among medical students are conducted and the relevant analysis is made in the study.After that,the descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis are carried out on the survey results with SPSS 21.0.In addition,the structural equation model method is used to analyze the Cronbach’α coefficient and the confirmatory factor for each research dimension and its measurement questions to understand the dimensions and to check the reliability,convergence validity and discriminant validity.Finally,several measurement questions are reduced to a few measurement indicators,and the path analysis results are obtained by using the linear structure relationship development structure model.Research results:1.The research constructs the innovative education behavioral intention model of innovative education quality cognition,cognitive usefulness,cognitive ease of use,emotional attitude and behavioral intention as potential variables,and validates the model by structural equation modeling.2.The research has clarified the current status of medical students’ innovative education.The results show that after one year’s innovative education,freshmen’s awareness of innovation education is gradually increasing,and their learning ability,innovation ability and interpersonal skills are improved.However,there are still some deficiencies in the stamina of participating in innovative education,especially their enthusiasm.3.Empirical research results of medical students’ intention to participate in innovative education behavior(1)In empirical research,the results of path analysis show that the quality of innovative education is positively correlated with cognitive acceptability,with a correlation coefficient of 0.89;the quality of innovative education is positively correlated with the cognitive usefulness of students,with a correlation coefficient of 0.17;sexuality is positively correlated with cognitive usefulness,with a correlation coefficient of 0.94;cognitive acceptability is positively correlated with emotional attitude,with a correlation coefficient of 0.88;cognitive usefulness is positively correlated with emotional attitude,with a correlation coefficient of0.22,and emotional attitude is positively correlated with behavioral trend.The correlation coefficient is 0.87,and the P value of the relationship between the paths is <0.001,indicating that the relationship between the paths is established.(2)Path analysis results also indicate that cognitive acceptability,cognitive usefulness,and educational quality are indirectly affected by the dimension of participation.(3)According to the research results,the author constructs an intention model for medical students to participate in innovative education,and the model is confirmed.Conclusion:Medical students’ perception of univeristy’s education and their own learning has a positive impact on their intention to participate in innovative education.Therefore,teaching administrators of medical universities can positively affect the behavioral intention of medical students to participate in innovative education by improving their cognitive usefulness and acceptability,so that university’s personnel training and school-running level will be improved.This research conducts a systematic study on the behavioral intentions of medical students participating in innovative education.It explores and confirms the behavioral intentions and influencing factors of medical students participating in undergraduate innovation education,which may provide a reference for innovative education policy-making in colleges and universities in China.
