Objective:Objective to investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of traditional chinese medicine fumigation of Buyang Huanwu Recipe combined with Repetitive Facilitative Exercise(Chuan Ping Theory)in the treatment of lower limb motor dysfunction in stroke patient with hemiplegia, and to explore a new effective and safe program of integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine for the rehabilitation of stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods:According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, forty patients with stroke hemiplegia were screened and informed the purpose、 the specific treatment plan and sign the valid informed consent of this study.Using random number table method, they were randomly divided into Chuanping group and Combined group.Patients in both groups received secondary nursing care,Conventional medication and symptomatic support treatment、acupuncture therapy and health education.Chuanping group(n=20)was treated with Repetitive Facilitative Exercise therapy,40min/time,6 times/week;Combined group(n=20)on the basis of Chuanping group, was given Buyang Huanwu Rcipe fumigation,20min/time,6 times/week;The treatment period for both groups was 6 weeks. Two time points-before and after of treatment were selected for evaluation,The score data of Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS),Fugl-Meyer Assessment of Lower Limb Motor Function(FMA-L)and Barthel Index(BI)were collected for comparative analysis.Results:1.There was no significant difference in general clinical data and MAS,FMA and BI scores between the two groups(P>0.05)before treatment, which indicated that the two groups were comparable.2.FMA-L score: FMA-L scores in both groups were significantly improved before and after treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment, there was statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05),and the Combined group was better than the Chuanping group.3.BI score :BI scores in both groups were significantly improved before and after treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment, there was statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05),and the Combined group was better than the Chuanping group.4.MAS score: The intra-group comparison between the two groups before and after treatment showed no statistically significant difference in Chuanping group(P>0.05),while the difference in Combined group was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, there was statistical difference between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The traditional chinese medicine fumigation of Buyang Huanwu Recipe combined with Repetitive Facilitative Exercisecan relieve the spasticity、improve the motor dysfunction and improve the ability of daily living activities.of lower limb motor dysfunction in stroke patient with hemiplegia2.The traditional chinese medicine fumigation of Buyang Huanwu Recipe combined with Repetitive Facilitative Exercisecan has a definite effect on the improvement of lower limb motor dysfunction in stroke patients with hemiplegia, and has a good safety.
