Objective:This study provides research data for the study of clinical vertebral arterial type cervical spondylosis by observing the clinical efficacy of the intervention of clearing turbidity abdominal Tuina method for treating sputum dampness obstructing collaterals type cervical spondylosis,in order to explore better treatment and better improve clinical efficacy.Method:Sixty patients with vertebral arterial type cervical spondylosis were recruited and eligible patients were randomly divided into two groups with 30 patients in each group according to relevant diagnostic, inclusion, and exclusion criteria.Among them, the control group used traditional Tuina, the practice of Tuina was taken from the ninth edition of the national teaching material for advanced Chinese medicine,Tuina, and the treatment group was treated with the intervention of clearing turbidity abdominal Tuina based on traditional Tuina. The treatments were performed uniformly once a day,six times a week, and the results were observed two weeks after the treatments, and the changes of the four symptom related scales of vertebral arterial type cervical spondylosis were evaluated before and after the treatments, respectively, and the statistical software SPSS22.0 was applied to make intra-and inter group contrasts between the two groups, and the differences were finally considered statistically significant at p < 0.05.Result:1.A total of 60 patients were included in this study,2 cases were dislodged during treatment,0 cases were excluded,28 cases were in the test group,30 cases were in the treatment group, and 58 cases were effective cases.2.The gender, age, duration of illness, and scores of each item of the cervical vertigo symptoms and functional assessment scales(ESCV),neck disability index(NDI)scale, visual analog scale(VAS)score, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale between the two groups were all P > 0.05,which indicated that all the patients before treatment were comparable.3.After statistical analysis, the intra-group comparison of ESCV,NDI,VAS,and TCM scale scores in both groups after treatment were all P < 0.05,indicating that both treatment modalities were effective in treating symptoms related to vertebral arterial type cervical spondylosis, and the inter-group comparison between the two groups after treatment were all P < 0.5 except for the VAS scores, indicating that except for the treatment of neck pain which was comparable in both groups, the abdominal Tuina intervention group improved the symptoms related to vertebral arterial type cervical spondylosis. The abdominal Tuina intervention group was more effective than the traditional Tuina group.4.After 2 courses of treatment, the abdominal Tuina intervention group healed 2,9patients had apparent results,15 had effective results and 2 had no effects.,resulting in an overall response rate of 92.86%,while the traditional Tuina group healed 0,2 patients had apparent results,9 had effective results and 8 had no effects.,resulting in an overall response rate of 73.33%,which was statistically p < 0.05.These results indicate that the abdominal Tuina intervention group has a higher overall efficacy in the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis than the traditional Tuina group.Conclusions:1.The treatment of sputum dampness obstructing collaterals type cervical spondylosis by using traditional Tuina and clearing turbidity abdominal Tuina can obviously improve the clinically relevant symptoms and improve the quality of patients’ daily life, and the safety of treatment in both groups is good.2.The clinical efficacy of traditional Tuina combined with clearing diarrhea and turbidity abdominal Tuina is superior to that of traditional Tuina group in the treatment, and this therapy has certain advantages for the improvement of vertigo, sleep, psychological situation, and symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome than that of the control group, and can be recommended for clinical use.
