Objective:The Emergency Medical Services Resilience Scale(EMSRS)was sinicized and the applicability of the Chinese version was tested.Methods:The EMSRS was translated and revised after obtaining authorization from the original authors.A convenience sampling method was used to select 252 emergency personnel from an emergency center in an Province for questionnaire survey,and to conduct entry analysis and the reliability and validity tests.Results:The Chinese version of the Emergency Medical Services Resilience Scale has 31 items in 6 dimensions,and 6 common factors are extracted by exploratory factor analysis.According to the items,the 6 common factors are named as work motivation,work enthusiasm,the influence of stress,self-management,communication and public support,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 75.717%.The content validity index of each item in the Chinese Emergency Medical Service Resilience Scale was 0.833 ~ 1.000,and the average content validity of all items in the Chinese Emergency Medical Service Resilience Scale was 0.965.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the scale was 0.936,the split-half reliability for the total scale was 0.848,the test-retest reliability for the total scale was 0.872.Conclusion:The Chinese version of the EMSRS has good reliability and validity and can be used as a survey instrument for the psychological resilience of emergency medical services personnel. |
