Background and ObjectiveBreast cancer has become an increasing problem threatening life and health of women.Although the incidence of breast cancer is increasing every year, but the basic and clinical research of breast cancer has made great progress due to combined use molecular biotechniques and development of diagnosis and treatment technology.Among them, the diagnose rate and cure rate of early breast cancer continue to increase, which has become a great improve for the declining mortality of breast cancer patients.Early diagnose and individualized precision treatment have become core factors to insurance a good survival for breast cancer patients. However, the clinical features of early breast cancer are not typical, and even similar with benign tumor in imaging, hence, many breast cancer patients of early stage are diagnosed for benign breast tumor in hospital. This will not only affect the treatment options of patient, but also delay the patient’s condition, affect the patient’s prognosis, and reduce the patient’s quality of life. This study mainly analyzed the clinicopathological differences between early breast cancer patients who were newly detected as benign breast tumors and early breast cancer patients who were newly diagnosed as breast cancer. The clinicopathological factors of prone to missed diagnosis will be find out and screened some related meaningful factors to multivariate regression analyze its independent influence factors to guide reliable evidence for future diagnosis and individualized therapy.MethodsThe clinicopathological data of early-stage breast cancer patients admitted in Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from June 2017 to December 2020 were collected. All patients were confirmed diagnosed through pathological examinations.Early-stage breast cancer patients in observation group who were newly diagnosed as benign breast tumors and the early-stage breast cancer patients in control group who were newly diagnosed as breast cancer. The clinical pathological data between the two groups of patients were compared differences through retrospective analysis, including age of newly diagnosis, tumor size, tumor location, pathological type, histological grade, body mass index(BMI),estrogen receptor(ER),and progesterone receptor(PR),HER-2,Ki67 expression, molecular analysis and other aspects.Results1.Through analysis and comparison, the two groups of early breast cancer patients have statistically significant differences in age of newly diagnosis, tumor size, pathological type, histological grade of invasive breast cancer, expression of HER-2 and Ki67,and molecular typing(P <0.05).2.There was no significant difference in tumor location,BMI,ER and PR expression, tumor multifocal, between the two groups of early breast cancer patients(P>0.05).3.Multivariate logistic regression showed that Age of newly diagnosed, tumor size, the pathologic types, expression of HER-2 and Ki67 are independent influencing factors for missed diagnosis in early stage of breast cancer.Conclusion1.Patients with early-stage breast cancer who are newly diagnosed as benign breast tumors have following features than those who are newly diagnosed as breast cancer, such as younger age of onset, the smaller maximum diameter of the tumor, the higher proportion of ductal carcinoma in situ, lower histological grade of invasive ductal carcinoma, lower HER-2positive rate, the lower expression of Ki67,Lower degree of malignancy,Less invasive.2.There was no significant difference in tumor location,BMI,ER and PR expression, tumor multifocal.3.Age of newly diagnosed, tumor size, the pathologic types, expression of HER-2 and Ki67 are independent influencing factors for missed diagnosis in early stage of breast cancer.
