Objective: To compare the curative effect of radian traction combined with acupuncture with that of computer sitting traction combined with acupuncture on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy accompanied with cervical curvature abnormality, evaluate the effectiveness and safety of radian traction combined with acupuncture, and provide new ideas for exploring the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy as well as a precise,long-lasting,simple and cost-effective solution for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods: Totally 86 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy who met the inclusive criteria and were treated in the Orthopedic Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Henan Province of TCM from January 2019 to October 2019 were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 43 cases in each group.Experimental group were given radian traction combined with acupuncture, while the control group were given computer sitting traction combined with acupuncture. Both groups were treated once a day, resting for 1 day after 6consecutive days of treatment, and a total of 18 times in 3 weeks as a treatment course. The cervical spine curvature(Borden’s method),neck VAS score, and the scores of Tanaka Jingji cervical spondylosis symptom scale before, after and 1 month after treatment were observed and recorded. The general data and research data of both groups were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 software, and P <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: There were some cases falling out in both groups. Two patients in experimental group did not give subsequent visit to the hospital as required and withdrew on their own;two patients in control group did not adhere to the treatment course and one patient did not give subsequent visit to the hospital as required.Complete data were obtained: 41 cases in experimental group and 40 cases in control group, with a total of 81 cases.Such basic data as gender, age, disease course in both groups were gathered and analyzed. The results showed that the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the differences were comparable.1.Clinical efficacy: The total effective rate in experimental group was 92.68% and that in control group was 72.50%;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.VAS scores: The difference between the two groups before the treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05)and it was comparable;the VAS scores of experimental group were lower than those in control group after treatment and in the follow-up 1 month after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison within the group: The score after treatment was lower than that before treatment in experiment group, and the score in the follow-up 1 month after treatment was lower than that after treatment;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The score after treatment was lower than that before treatment in control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the score after treatment and that in the follow-up 1month after treatment in control group(P>0.05).3.Cervical curvature value: The difference between the two groups before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05)and it was comparable. After treatment and in the follow-up one month after treatment, the improvement in experimental group was better than that in control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison within the group: It was better after treatment than before treatment in experimental group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to the comparison between after treatment and the follow-up 1 month after treatment, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).It was better after treatment than before treatment in control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the cervical curvature value in the follow-up 1 month after treatment was lower than that after treatment;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Cervical Spondylosis Symptom Scale Score: The scores in both groups before treatment had no significant difference(P>0.05)and it was comparable. The scores in experimental group were higher than those in control group after treatment and in the follow-up after treatment;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison within the group: The scores were higher after treatment than those before treatment, and the scores were higher in the follow-up 1 month after treatment than those after treatment;the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores were higher in the follow-up 1 month after treatment than those after treatment;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both therapeutic methods have good effects on the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy accompanied with cervical curvature abnormality, but the effect of radian traction combined with acupuncture is more obvious,long-lasting and effective.2.Radian traction combined with acupuncture is superior to computer sitting traction combined with acupuncture in improving the clinical symptoms of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy accompanied with cervical curvature abnormality.3.Radian traction combined with acupuncture has more advantages in improving the cervical curvature in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy accompanied with cervical curvature abnormality. It is a safe, effective and long-lasting method, which is worthy of wide clinical application.
