Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Lianzhu Xiaoke granule in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods:66 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table. After 2 weeks of washout, the two groups were given basic diet and exercise treatment, the control group was given metformin tablets 0.5g twice a day,the treatment group was given Lianzhu Xiaoke granules, one dose a day, twice a day,the course of observation was 4 weeks. The TCM symptom score, fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),fasting insulin(fins),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C)and adiponectin(ADPN)were compared before and after treatment in the two groups, and the clinical effect was evaluated.Result:1 Baseline data comparisonThere was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2 Comparison of TCM syndrome efficacy and TCM symptom scoreThe total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 84.38%in the treatment group and 59.38%in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group in improving thirst, body weight, anorexia, greasy stool and short urination(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in improving numbness and tingling(P>0.05).3 Comparison of blood glucose and blood lipidIn the aspect of blood glucose,FBG and 2hPG in the two groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and in the aspect of reducing FBG,the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05),there was no significant difference between the two groups in reducing 2hPG(P>0.05).It shows that the treatment group is more effective than the control group in controlling FBG.In the aspect of blood lipid,TC,TG,LDL-C of the two groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),HDL-C was higher than before treatment(P<0.05);compared with the two groups, the treatment group was better than the control group in reducing TC,TG,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in improving HDL-C and LDL-C(P>0.05).It shows that the treatment group has more advantages in reducing TC and TG than the control group.4 Comparison of fins and HOMA-IRIn the evaluation of insulin function, fins and HOMA-IR of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared between the two groups, the treatment group was better than the control group in reducing HOMA-IR(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in reducing fins between the two groups(P>0.05).It shows that the treatment group is better than the control group in improving insulin resistance.5 ADPN comparisonThe difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the treatment group is better than the control group in improving ADPN.6 Safety indexBefore and after treatment, the blood, urine, feces, liver and kidney function,ECG and other examination indexes of the two groups were all within the normal range. Conclusion:Lianzhu Xiaoke granule can improve the clinical symptoms of T2DM patients with heat and dampness combined with blood stasis, reduce fasting and 2 hours postprandial blood glucose, reduce blood lipid, improve insulin resistance. It has obvious advantages and no adverse reactions. It is worthy of clinical application.
