| Objective: We aim to investigate the prevalence and associated factors of Common diseases among primary and middle school in danzhou from 2017 to 2020,including myopia,overweight and obesity,high blood pressure,and malnutrition.It is important for relevant departments to formulate prevention and control measures of common diseases among primary and middle school students to provide reference.Methods: It was a cross-sectional study investigation With a stratified-randomly sampling method,selected 12 schools(7 in urban areas and 5 in towns)in the first stage.In The second stage,2 classes were selected from each grade(primary schools only survey grades 4-6),at least 240 students in each school.All the selected students needs to complete physical measurements and questionnaires.Physical measurement items include student height,weight,vision,and blood pressure.The questionnaire survey included students’ general conditions,eating habits,physical activity,eye behavior,etc.The number of each monitoring is increased by 5-10% to guarantee the sample size is not lower than the minimum monitoring standard,excluding the unqualified questionnaires.We used Epidata3.1 software for double entry,and SPSS19.0 software for descriptive analysis,χ2test,Logistics regression analysis.Result:1.The myopia rates of primary and middle school students in Danzhou from 2017 to 2020 were 34.9%,41.0%,51.5%,and 37.9%.Univariate analysis found that: gender,school location,school age,classroom lighting,frequency of seat replacement,adjustment frequency of table and chair height,location of activities between classes,study time after class,frequency of exercise,length of time to participate in cram school,reminding of reading and writing posture,frequency of eye rest,TV watching time,the use of electronic devices,time of outdoor activity,frequency of watching electronic screens,frequency of incorrect use of electronic products,the type of lights used at home,and the myopia of the parents were statistically significant for primary and middle school students with poor vision(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that the use of classroom lights when attending classes on a cloudy day or without projection Post-study,study time after school,posture of using electronic products,girls,junior high school and senior high school are risk factors for myopia of primary and middle school students(P<0.05);adjusting desks and chairs every 2-3 months,township are the protective factors for low vision of middle and elementary school students(P<0.05)).2.The overweight and obesity rates of primary and middle school students in Danzhou from 2017 to 2020 were 9.7%,15.4%,9.8%,and10.2%.Univariate analysis found that: eating habits,nutritional status,location of activities between classes,drinking,smoking,and video usage time were statistically significant for primary and middle school students with overweight and obesity(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that using the video screen for 1-2 hours is a risk factor for overweight and obesity in primary and middle school students(P<0.05),and junior high school and senior high school are protective factors for overweight and obesity in primary and middle school students(P<0.05).3.The high blood pressure rates of primary and middle school students in Danzhou from 2017 to 2020 were 15.1%,23.5%,18.3%,and 21.8%.Univariate analysis found that: the number of physical education classes,nutritional status,gender,smoking,ethnicity and incorrect parental control,Discrimination against group activities and school age were statistically significant for primary and middle school students with overweight and obesity(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that:Discrimination against group activities and girls are risk factors for high blood pressure among primary and middle school students(P<0.05).being outdoors between classes Activities,junior high school and senior high school,1or more sessions of physical education and townships are the protective factors for high blood pressure in primary and middle school students(P<0.05).4.The malnutrition rates of primary and middle school students in Danzhou from 2017 to 2020 were 10.1%,7.4%,11.5%,and 12.4%.Univariate analysis found that:eating habits,moderate to high-intensity exercise,smoking,drinking,and agewere statistically significant for primary and middle school students with overweight and obesity(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that girls aged 15-17 were risk factors for malnutrition of primary and middle school students(P<0.05);Han nationality was a protective factor for malnutrition of primary and middle school students(P<0.05).In conclusion:1.The detection of common diseases,including myopia,overweight and obesity,high blood pressure and malnutrition,among primary and middle school students in Danzhou from 2017 to 2020 is severe,showing an upward trend.2.Gender,school location,school age,adjustment frequency of table and chair height,frequency of incorrect electronic products useage,time for homework,the use of classroom lights during class,frequency of classes Seating change and the average TV time per day are related to the associated factors of poor eyesight of primary and middle school students in Danzhou.3.Gender,ethnicity,school age,and video usage time are related to the associated factors of overweight and obesity among primary and middle school students in Danzhou.4.Gender,ethnicity,school age,the location of school,the number of sessions in physical education,the discrimination in group activities and the location of activities between classes are related to associated factors of high blood pressure among primary and middle school students in Danzhou.5.Gender,ethnicity,school age,eating habits,moderate to high intensity exercise,smoking,drinking,and age are related to the associated factors of malnutrition among primary and middle school students in Danzhou. |
