The trend in refractive error of primary and middle school students has shown an increase in recent years, which has caused wide public concern.The incidence of myopia of the primary school students in Jinan is 30% in 2005, of the junior middle school students 58%, of the senior middle school students 70%.The percentage is far beyond the country's average level of the corresponding periods.The cause of the disease is very complicated and it is the synthetical result of the genetics and environments.The disease excluding severe myopia is the result of the environments.Myopia has brought much trouble to the studies livings of primary and middle school students. In a word, it is necessary to adopt vigorous measures tO prevent the disease or put off its development.[objective] To understand the prevalence of refractive erro and to analyse the risk factors of eyesight among the primary and middle school students in Lixia district in Jinan, and the results make comprehensive evaluation, and make the relevant measures for the prevention and control myopia to provide the reference.[Methods] By stratified cluster sampling method, from Lixia all elementary school, junior high school and senior high school, random two elementary schools, 2 middle schools, two high schools as survey school, and again from survey in school at all levels of 2 class random spot check, a total of 2628 students as subjects, the students with eyes after mydriatic, dirk automatic refractive plan D and corneal curvature measured in 0.50 D and 0.50 D for face between the eyes. And self-made questionnaire survey of vision and understand the object with eye health knowledge, with the eyes.[Results] 1. In Lixia district, primary and middle school students'overall farsightedness prealence was 1.41%. Pupils myopia rate 1-3 grade 12 people, the rates 1.95%,4-6 grade nine, and 1.50% morbidity junior middle school students, the farsightedness 8 people, the prevalence was 1.16%, high school students farsightedness 8 people, the prevalence of 1.10%.2. In Lixia district, primary and middle school students from the prevalence rate of 1.56%. Elementary school students in grade 1-3 amblyopia 11 people, rates 1.79%, 4-6 grade amblyopia 10 people,1.67% morbidity junior middle school students, the 10 amblyopia, prealence was 1.45%, high school students from 10 people, rates of 1.38%.3. In Lixia district, primary and middle school students squint prealence was 0.57%. Pupils 1-3 grade strabismus 6 people, the rates 0.98%,4-6 grade strabismus 5, 0.83% morbidity junior middle school students, bosseyed 1 person, prealence was 0.15%, high school students strabismus 3 people, rates of 0.41%.4 In Lixia district, primary and middle school students, the overall rate of myopia is 46.65%, among them the pupils myopia rate 30.64%, the rate of myopia is 55.30% of junior high school students, high school students of myopia rate was 69.71%., the myopia rate increases with age;5. Pupils mild, moderate nearly 21.25% nearly as high as 6.92%, nearly as 2.47%; Junior high school students'mild, moderate myopia nearly as 30.48% 18.58%, nearly as high 6.24%; High school students mild, moderate nearly 30.76% nearly as high as 22.24%, nearly as 12.28%. Schools with mild-to-moderate myopia myopia is given priority to, but as the growth of the age, and the proportion of high myopia increase gradually.6. The boy myopia rate was 32.15%, the girl myopia rate 35.19%, P<0.05, each school age section of the girls were higher than the rate of myopia with school age section the boys.7. Right eye pupil average 1.27+/-0.40 D D-left eye-1.09 average D+/-0.42 D; Junior high school students on average 3.76 D-right eye+/-0.39 D, D-3.25 average left eye+/-0.53 D; High school students on average 4.74 right eye D+/-0.46 D, D-4.23 average left eye+/-0.40 D. His right eye higher than average d left eye average d. 8. Corneal curvature and myopia was not significantly associated, P>0.05. Corneal curvature changes before and after mydriatic no obvious statistical significance, P> 0.05.9. In Lixia district, primary and middle school students myopia reached 1226, a mirror is 728, accounting for 59.35%, didn't wear mirror is 498, accounting for 40.68%. Pupils 1-3 grade myopia 125 people, a mirror 14 people, a mirror rate was 11.20%; 4-6 grade myopia 247 people, a mirror 53 people, a mirror rate was 21.37%; Junior high school students'myopia 381 people,245 people wear mirror, wear mirror rate was 64.23%, the high school students myopia of 573 people, 87.98% morbidity.10. Most of the small and medium-sized students are bad use eye health habits.[conclusion] 1. in Lixia district,primary and middle school students'myopia has higher rates, and with mild-to-moderate myopia mainly.2.The girl myopia rates higher than that of male students, the average myopia d higher than the left eye.3.Myopia pupils in Lixia district wear mirror lower rate.4.The cause of myopia is very complex, is the result of many factors, this investigation of the results show that myopia was not significantly associated with corneal curvature; Genetic, gender, eyes don't, with the eye health knowledge, bad behavior with the eye is the primary and middle school students myopia the main risk factor, especially outdoor activities in preventing myopia how much to play an important role, this and foreign study results were consistent with the findings.5.The change of primary and middle school students'vision is a kind of long-term change, the students of the prevention and control of myopia should be from the grabbed, especially raises the student good with the eye should be more from primary school to start, and throughout the study stage.
