Objective:To confirm the effect of electroacupuncture auricular point Xin on heart rate variability(HRV)LF,HF and LF/HF in patients with essential hypertension(EH),and compare with electroacupuncture auricular point Zhi,so as to explore whether electroacupuncture auricular point Xin has relative specific effects on HRV in EH patients,so as to widen the idea of selecting acupoints for EH and related cardiac complications.Methods:52 patients with EH were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 26 cases in each group. To observe the changes of LF,HF and LF/HF in EH patients before and after electroacupuncture on auricular point Xin,and compared with those in control group. The data of two groups were recorded and statistically analyzed. Results:There was no significant difference of LF before and after electroacupuncture in the treatment group, but there was a downward trend of LF after treatment, and there were very significant differences of HF and LF/HF.After electroacupuncture, very significant differences of HF and LF/HF were shown between the two groups.Conclusion:1.Electroacupuncture on the auricular acupoint Xin can improve the vagal nerve tone and improve the balance of autonomic nervous system in patients with EH.2.Electroacupuncture on auricular point Xin has a relatively specific effect on HRV in patients with EH,which provides an objective basis for guiding the treatment of EH and related cardiac complications with auricular acupoints in clinical acupuncture.
