The Effects Of Electroacupunturing Lingtai And Shendao Points On Heatr Rate Variability In Patients With Essential Hypertension

Objective: To confirm the relatively specific effects of Lingtai and Shendao on HRVwith the frequency domain indexes of LF,HF and LF/HF in Patients with EssentialHypertension,which will give enlightments to choose the well-targeted acupuncture pointin the clinical work.Methods:44cases of patients with EH were randomly divided into two groups.21patients of the treatment group were electroacupuntured in Lingtai and Shendao,23patientsof the treatment group were acupuntured in Lingtai and Shendao.Then the data ofLF,HF,LF/HF before and after the acupuncture therapy were recorded and statisticallyanalyzed.Results: It was showed by t-test that, after the treatment, very significant differencesof LF,LF/HF existed in not only in electroacupunturing group but also in acupunturinggroup.There was no statistical significance of the above indexes between the two groupsbefore treatment. After the treatment, there also was no statistical significance ofLF,HF,LF/HF between the two groups. But electroacupunturing Lingtai and Shendao cantake longer time to reduce LF,LF/HF index of HRV in patients with EH.Conclusion: After the treatment, there was no statistical significance between the twogroups. But electroacupunturing Lingtai and Shendao can take longer time to reduceLF,LF/HF index of HRV in patients with EH,which means that maybe electroacupunturingthe two points have more effects of lowering sympathetic nerve activity and adjustingautonomic nerves balance.
