Objective: To investigate the instant effects on Heart Rate Variabilityof retained needling versus non-retained needling on Essential Hypertensionpatients through the comparison of the two different needling onLingtai(DU10)and Shendao(DU11) with the frequency domain indexes of LF, HFand LF/HF, then to study the significance of the two different treatment oncardiac diseases, and propose a method to properly choose the acupuncture timelength in clinical work.Methods:44cases of patients with EH were randomly divided into two groups.22patients classified as the observational group were retained needling for20minutes on Lingtai(DU10) and Shendao(DU11),22patients classified as thecontrol group were non-retained needling on Lingtai (DU10) and Shendao(DU11).Then observe the data of LF, HF, LF/HF before and after the acupuncture therapywere recorded and statistically analyzed. Results: It was shown very significant differences of LF, LF/HF existedin not only in observational group but also in control group by t-test thatafter the treatment. There was no statistical significance of the above indexesbetween the two groups before treatment. After the treatment, there wasstatistical significance of LF and HF between the two groups. Conclusion: There was statistical significance exiting in LF and HFbetween the two groups after the treatment. The retained needling group was superior to the group especially in treatment.
