ObjectiveA prospective,single-center,non-blinded,randomized,and controlled method was used to explore the efficacy and safety of acupuncture at the double "Hegu" and double"Neiguan" in inhibiting colonic spasm in painless colonoscopy.MethodPeople undergoing painless colonoscopy were selected from the Center of Digestive Endoscopy,General Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, from August 2020 to February 2021.54 patients who experienced intestinal spasms during the operation were included and divided into experimental groups or controls Group,27 cases in each group. The experimental group selected double "Hegu"and double "Neiguan" for acupuncture, disinfected the skin of the acupoint area with Aner Iodine, held a 1-inch needle(Huatuo brand No.28),punctured the needle straight at a 90°angle,and the needle was inserted about 0.5-1 cm,Force-strength stimulation technique, each acupuncture point is quickly twisted with a frequency of 120 times/min.After twisting for about 15 seconds, the needle is stopped and the needle is retained until the end of the inspection operation. The control group selected 1 cm above the proximal end of the double "Hegu" and double "Neiguan",and the acupuncture method, acupuncture depth, acupuncture angle, and acupuncture technique were consistent with the experimental group. The intestinal spasm release latency and the duration of intestinal spasm release within 5 minutes were compared between the two groups of patients, and whether rebound spasm occurred within 5 minutes was observed. The polyp detection conditions, endoscopic characteristics and pathological types of the two groups were recorded, and the operation time of the painless colonoscopy was compared between the two groups.ResultThe latency of the experimental group to inhibit colon spasm was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the duration of colonic spasm relief within 5 minutes of the experimental group was generally longer than that of the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);The number of rebound spasms in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the detection of colorectal polyps, the size of the polyps, and the pathological properties between the two groups(P>0.05).The operation time of colonoscopy in the experimental group without polyp treatment was significantly shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistical difference in the painless colonoscopy operation time between the two groups of patients undergoing polyp treatment(P>0.05).There were no adverse events in either group.ConclusionThe double "Hegu" and double "Neiguan" acupuncture are effective for relieving colon spasm, with short latency, rapidonset, stable curative effect, and no side effects. In the diagnosis and treatment of painless colonoscopy, the application of double "Hegu" and double "Neiguan" acupuncture is a simple, cheap, green, safe and effective method to inhibit intestinal spasm. |
