Clinical Observation Of Modified Guizhi Plus Longgu Muli Decoction In Treating Depression(Heart Yang Deficiency Syndrome)

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Modified Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of depression(heart yang deficiency syndrome),and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Modified Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of depression due to heart yang deficiency,so as to provide the basis for further study on the mechanism of Modified Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of depression.Methods : In this study,seventy-eight patients with mild and moderate depression and TCM syndrome type of heart-yang deficiency were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.The treatment group was treated with Modified Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction,and the control group was given paroxetine hydrochlo-ride tablets.The two groups were treated for six weeks.The content of serum 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD)and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were compared.And the adverse drug reactions in the two groups were observed during the treatment.Then spss25.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.There was no significant difference in general statistical data(age,gender,course of disease)and baseline values before treatment(serum 5-HT content,HAMD score,TCM syndrome score and single TCM symptom)between the two groups(P>0.05),suggesting that the two groups were comparable.2.After 6 weeks of treatment,the serum 5-HT content of patients in the treatment group and the control group increased(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment,the HAMD scores and TCM syndrome scores of the treatment group and the control group decreased(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment,there were significant differences in all symptoms of TCM in the treatment group(P<0.05),but there were no significant differences in the control group in terms of cold limbs and dizziness(P>0.05),the remaining symptoms were improved(P<0.05).Moreover,the treatment group was superior to the control group in palpitation,chest tightness,dizziness and cold limbs,with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Jiawei Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction could improve the content of serum 5-HT,reduce HAMD score and TCM syndrome score,which was similar to the efficacy of paroxetine hydrochloride group.Modified Guizhi plus Longgu Muli Decoction could significantly improve the clinical symptoms of depression patients with heart-yang deficiency and was superior to paroxetine hydrochloride in the aspects of palpitation,chest tightness,dizziness,intolerance of cold and limb coldness,with good curative effect and less adverse reactions,which could be widely used in clinical practice.
