Clinical Observation Of Xie’s Fumigation And Washing Method Combined With Manual Splint External Fixation In Treating Wrist Function After Colles Fracture

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and advantages of Xie’s wrist joint fumigation and washing recipe to promote the rehabilitation of wrist function after the treatment of Colles fracture with traditional Chinese medicine combined with small splint external fixation.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 60 cases of Colles fracture of the distal radius treated in the orthopedic ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2017 to November 2019 was conducted.The patients were divided into three groups on average.They were treated with general rehabilitation exercise,assisted Huoxue Zhitong powder fumigation and washing exercise and assisted Xie’s wrist fumigation and washing prescription.According to the imaging examination and the patient’s own condition,they were reexamined three times in the outpatient clinic in 4,6 and 8 weeks after the treatment respectively.Relevant physical examination and evaluation were carried out,and wrist joint activity was measured with the same compass angular meter.Mobility and scale scores were used to evaluate wrist joint function and activity.The functional recovery of affected limbs was compared among the three groups according to the functional recovery of affected limbs and Cooney functional evaluation system,VAS pain score system and swelling score.The comparative advantages of Xie’s wrist joint fumigation prescription group and Huoxue Zhitong powder group were emphatically observed.The data of 60 patients were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software.Results:Among the 20 patients treated with Xie’s wrist joint fumigation and washing method,the average scores of the Cooney scores at the 4th,6th,and 8th weeks after operation were 48.50,79.75,and 100.50,respectively.Among the patients,the average scores of the Cooney scores at weeks 4,6,and 8 were 46.50,77.75,and 85.75,respectively.Among the 20 patients who were treated with hot water and vinegar after surgery,the patients were treated at 4,6,and 8 after surgery.The average Cooney scores for each week were:46.50,70.75,and 81.50.From the comparison of data,it can be seen that the scores of the three groups were slightly higher in the Xie’s smoked and washed formula group at the fourth week after operation,and the scores of Huoxuezhitongsan group and hot-water vinegar group were the same,and the overall difference was not large.At 6 weeks,the scores of the Xie’s smoked and washed formula group and the Huoxuezhitongsan group were much higher than those of the hot water vinegar group.However,the Xie’s smoked and washed formula group and the Huoxuezhitong powder group were slightly higher than the Xie’s smoked and washed formula group.At week 8,the score of Xie’s smoked and washed formula group was significantly higher than the other two groups.Conclusion:The study proves that Xie Shi Wrist Fumigation Prescription is of clinical significance for wrist function rehabilitation after Colles Fracture Manual Repair and Splint External Fixation of Distal Radius,especially in wrist motion and swelling reduction,which can reduce local swelling and functional loss after wrist injury.
