The Study Of Clinical Effect Of Acupuncture On Laryngeal Cough

ObjectiveLaryngeal cough is a common illness caused by throat diseases in out-patient clinic of otorhinolaryngology.In recent years,the patients suffering laryngeal cough is increasing year by year.This study analysed the advantages of the method of traditional Chinese medicine with acupuncture for the treatment by compared with the way to use traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)only.we deeply observed and understood the effect of acupuncture treatment on laryngeal cough,looking forward to exploring new methods and ideas for the treatment of laryngeal cough.Then providing valuable reference for the clinical treatment of laryngeal cough.MethodsThe study was a randomized,controlled,single-center clinical trial.60 patients diagnosed as laryngeal cough(wind evil invading the lung)in the ENT out-paitent of the Guangdong Provincial Chinese medicine hospital from July 2019 to February 2020 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,including 30 cases in the experimental group and 30 cases in the control group.The experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture,while the control group was treated with pure traditional Chinese medicine with a treatment course of 2 weeks.Demographic data and clinical data were compared between the two groups at the inception of the study,and the efficacy of the two groups was evaluated by visual analogue cough(VAS)score,leicester cough questionnaire(LCQ)score and comprehensive analysis of symptoms and signs about the patients with laryngeal cough.This study used T-test and rank sum test to analyze those data.ResultsThe 60 patients were included in result analysis,including 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group.There was no statistical significant difference between the two groups in demographic data,clinical data,score of cough severity,the score of life quality and the score of comprehensive symptoms and signs.After two weeks of treatment,the scores of cough severity decreased in both groups,and the scores of detection group were significantly lower than control group(P=0.002<0.05),the difference was statistical significance.After treatment,the total score of the leicester cough questionnaire was(16.07±0.787)in detection group and(12.81±0.815)in control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The physiological score of the leicester cough questionnaire was(5.49±0.415)in detection group and(4.50±0.343)in control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The Psychologica score of the leicester cough questionnaire was(5.56±0.30)in detection group and(4.29±0.40)in control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The Social score of the leicester cough questionnaire was(5.02±0.500)in detection group and(4.02±0.537)in control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The score of comprehensive symptoms and signs from the detection group was(4.23±2.079),lower than that of the control group(7.80±3.044)after treatment.Which showed statistical significant differences in the two groups(P<0.05).Both treatment can improve the symptoms of cough,throat itch,abnormal sensation of throat,throat dryness,throat pain,pharynx burning and pharynx signs.However,in improving cough,throat itch,throat pain,pharynx signs,the therapeutic effect of the detection group was better than the control group.Two groups patients had not happened the adverse effect in stage of therapy.ConclusionFemale patients with laryngeal cough are more than male patients,and youth is s high incidence of stage.Both the zhisuisan and the combination of zhisuisan and Dongs unique extra-ordinary point acupuncture can significantly improve the cough symptoms of patients and improve the physical,psychological and social quality of life.The results showed that the effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture was better,and the difference was statistically significant.In addition to improve the symptom of cough,both treatment all can improve the symptoms of cough,throat itch,abnormal sensation of throat,throat dryness,throat pain,pharynx burning and pharynx signs.Results there was on significant difference in abnormal sensation of throat,throat dryness,throat burning.However,in improving cough,throat itch,throat pain and pharynx signs,the effect of TCM combined with acupuncture is clearly superior to TCM only.In conclusion,traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture therapy is effective,safe and reliable,it is worth promoting.
