| ObjectiveBy observing the effect of buyanghuanwu decoction combined with niuyu powder acupoint application on the total score of TCM symptoms,clinical efficacy of TCM symptoms,Toronto clinical scoring system(TCSS score),vibration sensation threshold and glucose metabolism index in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)with qi deficiency and blood stasis,To evaluate its clinical value and safety,and to find a new method to treat DPN.MethodsUsing prospective,randomized controlled trials,80 cases of DPN patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis type treated in outpatient or inpatient department of diabetes department of Bao’an hospital of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated to guangzhou university of Chinese medicine were randomly divided into control group and test group,with 40 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with routine treatments such as diet and exercise control,hypoglycemic control,lipid regulation and blood pressure lowering to maintain blood glucose within the target range.On the basis of conventional treatment,the control group was given 0.5g tid Po of mecobalamin,and the test group was given buyanghuanwu decoction(150ml bid)+niuyu powder for acupoint application on both sides of Yishu acupoint,Zusanli acupoint and Geshu acupoint(1 time/day,lasting 2 hours).The treatment lasted 8 weeks.The changes of TCM syndrome score,TCSS score,clinical effect of TCM syndrome,vibration sensation threshold and glucose metabolism index and adverse reactions before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results1.Comparison of total scores of TCM symptoms:The total score of TCM symptoms in the two groups after treatment decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),this indicated that the total score of TCM symptoms could be improved by the treatment schemes in both groups,and the reduction of total score of TCM symptoms in the test group was larger than that in the control group(P<0.05).It indicates that decreasing the total score of TCM symptoms in the test group is better than that in the control group.2.Comparison of clinical efficacy of TCM symptoms:the total effective rate of the control group was 65.0%,the total effective rate of the test group was 87.5%,and the total effective rate of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of TCSS scores:compared with before treatment,both groups could reduce TCSS score(P<0.05),indicating that both groups could improve TCSS score.The decrease degree of TCSS score in the test group was greater than that in the control group,indicating that the reduction of TCSS score in the test group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of vibration sensation threshold:compared with before treatment,both groups could reduce the vibration sensation threshold(P<0.05).The test group was better than the control group in reducing the vibration sensation threshold(P<0.05).5.Comparison of glucose metabolism indexes:FPG and PPG in the control group showed no significant change before and after treatment(P>0.05),indicating no significant hypoglycemic effect,and HbAlc decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the blood glucose in the control group could be controlled in a good range during treatment.After treatment,FPG,PPG and HbA1c in the test group all decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease was larger than that in the control group,indicating that the hypoglycemic effect of the test group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).6.Comparison of.security:During the treatment,no significant adverse reactions were observed in both groups.ConclusionBuyanghuanwu decoction combined with niuyu powder acupoint application in the treatment of qi-deficiency and blood-stasis type diabetic peripheral neuropathy has a definite clinical effect,and has good safety,worthy of clinical promotion. |
