| Purpose :The purpose of the study was mainly to investigate the clinical responses of patients with Depression in 32 actual clinical cases.Secondly,the study aims to explore the interaction of Qi function disorder with depression through working sessions at “Rejoice Tree workshop”in the historical literature and a collection of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)classics.In addition,the study attempts to analyze the reasons why the improvement occurred in some patients with depression,providing new ideas for treating clinical cases and references for future approaches.Methods :1.This study adopts the framework of literature research methods,including historical literature,TCM classics,Western medical knowledge and modern psychology.2.The Zung Depression Self-Rating Scale SDS and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)24 items are also employed an SDS total score ≧ 41 points as a cut-off for depression,and an HAMD total score ≧ 8 for screening.3.By applying the “Standards for Syndrome Differentiation of Common TCM Syndrome in Depression” to conduct syndrome differentiation of TCM syndromes,a database of clinical investigation and analysis of TCM syndromes of depression is established,as well as an analysis of statistical results.Also,successful clinical practice Cases study and analyses are integrated so as to put forward effective clinical experience and integration methods.Results :1.According to the distribution of the syndromes of depression,liver congestion with qi stagnation was the most common symptom in 32 clinical cases.2.Depression with Psychology and emotion and Qi function disorders are absolutely mutually related,so adjusting the Qi function and restoring the balance of the body is the best way to reduce the chance of depression.3.Adjusting the Qi function helps depressed patients in the quick recovery of the normal mechanism of the function of the organs.4.Combining Chinese and Western medicine with psychology to find out the cause of psychological depression can help patients successfully get out of the shadow of depression.Conclusions :The causes of depression patients are mostly attributed to QI function disorders and psychological factors,which leads to more and more serious depression.The combination of emotional depression and modern psychology,with the theory of Chinese medicine,is able to address the needs ofpatients in a comprehensive way.The successful cases in this paper also provide the evidence of effective diagnosis and rehabilitation in patients with depression and have a great significance for clinical guidance. |
