| ObjectiveThe relationship between hyperuricemia(HUA)and metabolic abnormalities in different age stratification was analyzed;the detection rates of hyperuricemia with obesity, hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia between HUA and normal uric acid(NUA),and difference between different genders were compared;the correlation between serum uric acid(SUA)level and metabolic indexes were carried out.MethodIn this study,a retrospective study method was used to collect 863 hyperuricemia patients over 18 years old in the physical examination and inpatient department of the Central Hospital Affiliated to Shenyang Medical College from November 2019 to November 2020,and 350 non hyperuricemia patients without physical examination at the same time. They were divided into hyperuricemia group(HUA group)and normal serum uric acid group(NUA group).Basic data:gender, age, height, weight, past medical history, blood pressure, metabolism related laboratory test results:SUA,fasting blood glucose(FPG),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),etc from the hospital inpatient medical record system and physical examination system.diagnostic criteria of HUA:SUA is higher than 420μmol/L and SUA rise at least once.Statistical methods:t-test andχ~2test and compare the differences of metabolic indexes between the two groups; The correlation between SUA level and metabolic indexes was evaluated by Preason linear correlation analysis.Result(1)786 males and 77 females were detected in HUA group. The proportion of males was significantly higher than that of females, and the ratio of males to females was 9:1.(2)In the total population, the proportion of male, and the level of BMI and TG in HUA group were higher than those in NUA group, while the level of HDL-C was lower than that in NUA group(P<0.05);in the age of 33-44,the level of SBP,DBP and FPG in HUA group were higher than those in NUA group(P<0.05);in the age of42-56,the level of SBP and DBP in HUA group were higher than those in NUA group(P<0.05);in people over the age of 56,there was no significant difference in other metabolic indexes between HUA and NUA groups.(3)In the total study group, the HUA had higher detection rate of obesity, hypertension and hyperlipidemia than NUA(P<0.05).The detection rate of obesity and hyperlipidemia in male HUA group were higher than those in NUA(P<0.05).The detection rate of obesity, diabetes and hyperlipidemia in female HUA group were significantly higher than those in NUA(P<0.05),and the detection rate of diabetes in female HUA group was significantly higher than that in male group(χ~2=27.956,P<0.001).(4)The results of Preason lnear correlation analysis showed that SUA level was positively correlated with BMI,SBP and TG(r=0.328,r=0.135,r=0.273,P<0.05),negatively correlated with HDL-C(r=-0.449,P<0.05),but had no significant correlation with TC and LDL-C(P>0.05)in the total population. In female, the SUA level was positively correlated with FPG(r=0.358,P<0.05),while SUA in male was not.Conclusion(1)Under the new diagnostic criteria, the proportion of HUA detected in males is higher than that in females, and HUA is associated with metabolic abnormalities, especially associated with the increased risk of obesity and hyperlipidemia.(2)In the middle-aged and young population,HUA has a close relationship with abnormal metabolic indexes, while the relationship between the elderly population is not significant.(3)In female,HUA is a risk factor for diabetes, while male HUA has no significant effect on diabetes.(4)SUA level was positively correlated with BMI,TG and blood pressure, negatively correlated with HDL-C,but had no correlation with TC and LDL-C;the level of SUA was positively correlated with FPG and SBP in female, but not in male. |
