| Objective To study the advantages of direct multi-disciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment mode in the treatment of complicated esophageal foreign bodies, and to provide a better diagnosis and treatment mode for such patientsMethods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 56 patients with complicated esophageal foreign bodies in the cardiothoracic surgery department of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital from June 2017 to March 2019.According to the different diagnosis and treatment modes, they were divided into a direct multidisciplinary cooperative diagnosis and treatment group(Group A)and a multidisciplinary cooperative diagnosis and treatment group(Group B)after failure of gastroscopic forceps to remove foreign bodies. To compara the differences between the two groups in general conditions, types of foreign bodies, combined basic diseases, complications, treatment methods, foreign body incarceration time, eating time and hospitalization time after foreign body removal. Results In this study, the majority of middle-aged are elderly patients, the most common esophageal foreign body is jujube nucleus. The average incarceration time of group A was 2.12±1.54 day,and that of group B was 3.51±2.30 day. There was a statistical difference between the two groups(P < 0.05);the time of eating after the removal of foreign body in group A was 8.22±3.24 day,and the time of eating after the removal of foreign body in group B was 8.22±3.96 D.There was a statistically difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).There were 5 cases of abscess after esophageal perforation in group A and 14 cases of abscess after esophageal perforation in group B.The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion For complex esophageal foreign body patients,multi-disciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment mode should be adopted directly, which can reduce the incarceration time of esophageal foreign body and abscess formation after perforation, promote patient recovery, and improve the diagnosis effect. |
