As an important part of modern hospital management system,performance appraisal is the key link of hospital human resource management,and the performance appraisal of physicians is its core content.As the first capital of knowledge and skills carrier of public hospitals,physicians are the core resources of hospitals,and their medical service behaviors will directly affect the quality and efficiency of medical services,as well as the operating benefits of hospitals,and even the social credibility of hospitals.Under the background of the development of socialist market economy and the deepening reform of medical system in our country,build a set of scientific and effective performance evaluation incentive system can fully arouse the enthusiasm of the physicians,so as to better serve the society and patients,to promote the hospital medical service quality and efficiency,it’s of far-reaching significance for the healthy and sustainable development of public hospitals.This study based on the national issue of the performance evaluation scheme for the tertiary public hospitals and the new medical reform policy,as well as the integrated use of research methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey,field investigation,interviews,brainstorming,etc.The study analysis the necessity of physician performance appraisal firstly,and then starting from the analysis of the present situation of the current performance evaluation for physicians of S hospital,combing the process of performance appraisal for physicians through on the spot investigation,carry out interview and questionnaire survey for the physicians and do statistics,summary and analysis for the results of the survey;Next,analyze the problems existing in the performance evaluation of physicians,found that the imperfection of the current physician performance appraisal program,the inadequacy of evaluation incentive effects and the unsoundness of assessment mechanism.In view of the problems,combining the research results of the theory of performance evaluation and the practical experience at home and abroad,put forward the objectives and principles for the improvement.In addition,using PDCA cycle theory of quality management measures,etc.to put forward suggestions on improvement measures of performance appraisal program for physicians in S hospital;Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the improvement plan,the corresponding safeguard measures are put forwarded.This study provides some references for public hospitals with the same type and similar internal and external conditions who need to improve the performance appraisal program for physicians.
