[Purpose] With the development of mobile Internet and intelligent mobile device technology in recent years, the specific application scenarios of mobile payment methods based on the above two technologies are emerging in an endless stream. In the medical industry, compared with the traditional payment method, the mobile payment method, with its convenience, rapidity, security, personalization and other characteristics, has been favored by major domestic hospitals, and began to be promoted in the outpatient service. However,in terms of relevant research and actual social situation, the domestic middle-aged and elderly user groups use the mobile payment method when participating in the outpatient service The rate is not high, and the specific preferred payment method is unknown. As the main participants of outpatient service, the adoption of mobile payment method by the middle-aged and elderly groups greatly affects their promotion and application in major hospitals. Therefore, about "what is the specific preferred payment method when the middle-aged and elderly user groups participate in outpatient service" and"how to improve the middle-aged and old people" In this context, the adoption rate of mobile payment in the year group "has become an urgent problem to be solved to expand the application of mobile payment in outpatient services of major hospitals in China. The purpose of this study is to solve the above two problems, which has certain research significance.[Methods] Based on the summary of the relevant foreign literature, this study finally decided to introduce the variables related to the physiological and psychological characteristics of the middle-aged and the elderly on the basis of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, build the research model and put forward the research hypothesis. The data were collected by offline issuing entity questionnaire. The sampling method was random sampling, and the filling method was self filling. The respondents were patients or their families who paid for outpatient services in Xu Chang Central Hospital of He Nan Province.A total of 412 questionnaires were issued, excluding invalid questionnaires,369 valid questionnaires were obtained, and the effective questionnairerecovery rate was 89.6%.Using SPSS software, using descriptive statistical analysis method to clarify the frequency and proportion of preferred payment method, using linear regression analysis and independent sample t-test method to verify the hypothesis.[Results] The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that a considerable number of middle-aged and old people prefer to use mobile payment to pay for outpatient services(18.7%,n = 369),but most of them still prefer to use cash or medical card to pay for outpatient services(53.4%,n = 369).Regression analysis showed that: adoption intention =0.275 + 0.183 * performance expectation + 0.252 * effort expectation + 0.127 * social impact + 0.059 * promotion condition-0.124 * perceived risk-0.016 * perceived physical condition,R ~2 = 0.486,performance expectation, effort expectation, social impact three variables p < 0.01,promotion condition, perceived risk P < 0.05,perceived physical condition P > 0.05.The results of independent sample t-test analysis showed that: there was no significant difference in seven variables among the middle-aged and old people of different genders(bilateral probability was greater than 0.05),but there was significant difference in perception of physical condition between the middle-aged and old people aged50-60 and over(bilateral probability was less than 0.05),no significant difference in other variables(bilateral probability was greater than 0.05),and in perception of physical condition The score of 50-60 age group(1.217)is much lower than that of 60 and above age group(3.644).[Conclusions] From the above data analysis results, compared with mobile payment, most of the elderly still prefer to use cash payment or medical card payment to pay for outpatient medical services. There is a positive correlation between performance expectation, effort expectation, social influence, promotion condition and the willingness of the middle-aged and old people in outpatient service to adopt mobile payment. There is a negative correlation between perceived risk and the willingness of the middle-aged and old people in outpatient service to adopt mobile payment, but the influence of perceived physical condition on the willingness to adopt is not significant.Gender had no significant effect on the variables in the whole model, while age(50-60 years and above)had significant effecton the variables of perceived physical condition in the model.
