The development of information technology constantly promotes the innovation of education mode.In the course of Plant Protection Technology in secondary vocational and technical schools,the traditional teaching mode has some disadvantages,such as teacher-centered teaching,students passively accepting knowledge,students’ low enthusiasm and less independent exploration,which leads to poor teaching effect.Therefore,it is necessary to adopt some new teaching modes in the course of "Plant Protection Technology" in secondary vocational technical schools to improve the effect of classroom teaching.This research aims at the teaching philosophy of SPOC and the characteristics of the "Plant Protection Technology" course.Under the guidance of constructivist learning theory,mastery learning theory and humanistic learning theory,it adopts practical research and investigation research methods,according to the principles of student-centered,participatory,interesting,individualized and enlightening,the teaching model is applied in the course of Plant Protection Technology in secondary vocational schools.The teaching effect was analyzed through the collection of data from the wisdom tree platform,the comprehensive performance of students in the offline classroom and the questionnaire survey,the results of practical research show that:(1)The viewing rate of students’ online videos was 77.1%,and 56.3% of the students in the class watched videos 22-44 times in total,that is,each video was viewed once or twice,It shows that the online video teaching resources developed by teachers can arouse students’ interest.Students are willing to spend more time and energy in their study.The students’ enthusiasm for learning has increased.(2)Under the SPOC model,50 percent of students participate in an online question-and-answer discussion,Student engagement has increased,give better play to the initiative of students.(3)After the application of SPOC teaching mode,the failure rate of students decreased by 18.8%,this shows that the application of SPOC teaching mode has a certain effect.(4)52.1% of the students are satisfied with the application of SPOC teaching mode,It shows that this teaching practice is successful and the students have a high degree of satisfaction.Although this teaching mode has many advantages in the actual teaching process compared with traditional teaching,teachers only need to prepare teaching plans and PPT to carry out teaching activities.In the SPOC teaching mode,teachers also need to prepare micro-classes,online test questions and other resources.Students also need to invest a lot of time in offline learning,which increases the burden of teachers and students.This new teaching mode can arouse the enthusiasm of students,and the results of students’ learning are remarkable,and the teaching effect is obvious.This study can provide reference for the implementation of SPOC teaching mode in secondary vocational and technical schools.
